Following an afternoon on the river, we’ll gather back together for dinner and an evening of good music and dancing, as we enjoy the long sunsets that Boise is known for! (Teens-only events.)

A CONVERSATION
Refined by Experience
Gathering lessons—not to decide, but to understand and improve.
Saturday, August 30th from 11am to 1pm
Paramount Community Center
5695 N Fox Run Way, Meridian, Idaho
We invite all interested women to come participate in the discussion. In order for the organizers to collect information about things that went right, as well as things that could have been done better in former councils, we need your feedback. If you have conducted a council, participated in a council, or if you are a man whose conduct has been called into question for a council, you can click the button below to share your experiences with the organizers. The organizers will collect that information and then share those insights (without specifics) in the hope that we can all learn from past women’s councils and be better prepared moving forward. This is a simple conversation, and nothing will be voted on.
Conference Session
Sunday, August 31st at 9:00 am
College of Idaho Jewett Auditorium (indoors)
2112 Cleveland Blvd.
Caldwell, ID 83605
Speakers: Denver and Stephanie Snuffer
This session will be live-streamed.
Sacrament Session
Sunday, August 31st at 12:30 pm
College of Idaho Quadrangle (outdoors)
2112 Cleveland Blvd.
Caldwell, ID 83605
This will be an outdoor event, so bring your own blankets and chairs, and plan accordingly.
Please provide your own emblems for your family (bread, wine/grape juice, and cups). We will have corkscrews available for use. Please remember that Idaho State Law strictly prohibits minors (under 21) from partaking of sacramental wine.
It is our hope that we can share a relaxing weekend of fellowship, community, and learning together as we rejoice over the great things that are happening in our day. We have purposely kept this conference loosely structured so that you can make and explore new connections with fellow believers, spend time with those you already know, and plan activities that YOU want to do. We hope you will enjoy some time outdoors in fellowship, instead of inside on hard chairs for hours on end.
At this time, it appears all of the voting was completed at the Spring conferences, and we are not anticipating additional votes.
Yes! You are free to speak to and visit with any you can convince to listen to you while you are fellowshipping with fellow believers!
It seems self-evident, but “teens” are welcome. If your child is still a pre-teen, then check back next year. If your child is now an adult, kindly suggest that they find a group of young adults to plan activities with.
Teens should be dropped off to Reed and Lori Larsen’s home no later than 11:45 am on Saturday, August 30th (see address and information above). Adult chaperones will then carpool the teens to Banks, Idaho (about 1 hour away) and carpool the teens back to the Larsen home when the float is complete. It is expected that the group will arrive back between 5:00 & 5:30 pm. Your teen will be able to contact you via phone or text message as soon as we arrive back in the valley to arrange for pick-up. The route to Banks is a twisty mountain road, so teens will not be permitted to drive themselves.
Yes, we are still looking for some parents to help chaperone the float trip. This would include: driving the teens (the more seats, the better) to Banks, floating the river (cost is $72/person, including chaperones), and driving teens back down the mountain. We are also looking for parents who are willing to just help drive (not float). If you are interested in helping, please indicate that on your child’s Teen Activity Registration.
Yes, they are welcome to join in the midday meet-up at the park with their families!
We have tried to keep this conference really simple, and as such, we are not needing donations at this time. If you have extra funds to help with this, we would suggest you reach out to those in your fellowship community who may need help coming to the conference.
We are not in a position at this time to help anyone attend the conference. We suggest you ask your fellowship if they are able to help you.
