Jens-Philipp Klein is Co-Founder and General Partner of Rethink Ventures. He has more than 10 years experience in investing, building and supporting technology-driven companies. Prior to starting Rethink Ventures he was a Partner at Atlantic Labs, one of the leading early stage investment firms in Germany.

Jens-Philipp served on the board of multiple successful scale-ups (Cluno, Vimcar, Wandelbots) and was involved in three company incubations.

He holds a degree in Business & Economics from Witten/Herdecke University. 

Matthias Schanze is Co-Founder and General Partner of Rethink Ventures. He was previously with Siemens-backed venture capital fund Next47, where he led the mobility practice and helped set up the “Catalyst” program.

Matthias has 15 years of experience in the mobility and logistics sector. He previously worked in strategy, M&A, incubation and innovation. Matthias has set up three startup / corporate platforms: Beyond1435; Next47 Catalyst and Siemens Technology-to-Business.

He holds a Degree in Economics from Münster University, Germany.

Romina Affé has supported several different-sized companies in global and innovative environments as an EA for more than 6 years. By supporting one of Siemens’ NEXT47 Managing Directors including the team for 3 years, Romina has experience in the fast-paced VC/startup world.

With her proactive mindset and her enthusiasm for structure and planning, she loves to find solutions and to make processes as efficient as possible.
Romina’s passion is to contribute to a more conscious and sustainable future, not only in mobility but also in people’s personal growth as well as the health/wellness sector.

She is a certified Human Design Coach and holds a degree in English and Italian from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.

Mark Werner joined Rethink Ventures in 2023 as an Investment Analyst. During his studies, he worked for early- and late-stage tech startups such as Celonis. He fostered his understanding for the logistics and mobility industry at Ocean Insights (now project44) and Siemens Mobility. Mark earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Technology & Management at the Technical University of Munich. He completed his semester abroad at MIT.

Michael Buchinger joined Rethink Ventures in 2024 as an Investment Associate. Prior to this, he worked at Allianz X, the digital investment arm of Allianz Group, where he focused on growth and late-stage investments in Insurtech and Fintech.

Michael earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Management and Technology from the Technical University of Munich. Throughout his studies, he worked with various companies in the start-up ecosystem, such as Fraunhofer Venture and SevenVentures, and also completed a semester abroad at FGV in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Lukas is an entrepreneur, M&A advisor and investor, working for startups and corporates for over 10 years.

Previously, he led Wunder Mobility’s sales and marketing teams as Chief Commercial Officer, launched two failed startups and worked for ViaID, Mobivia's leading mobility-focused VC fund in Paris. He started his career at Deloitte Paris in M&A transaction services.

Lukas holds a CEMS Master's degree from WU Vienna and a Bachelor's degree in Business and French from Trinity College Dublin.

Artur Hasselbach is an entrepreneur, investor and advisor. At Rethink Ventures he leverages his extensive experience to identify and support promising new ventures in the mobility & logistics space.

Artur is best known as the co-founder and former CFO of Orderbird, a leading point-of-sale provider in Europe. He has also held multiple CFO and Advisor positions in the startup sector, where he made valuable contributions to companies in various stages of growth such as Door2Door, talentsconnect and NAO.

Sven von Loh has more than 22 years of experience as a serial entrepreneur and has been involved as an angel investor in various tech startups for over 10 years. His track record as an entrepreneur includes a failed software start-up and a successful consulting firm in the early 2000s. In 2008, he founded LeasingTime.de, which he bootstrapped for 13 years to become one of the leading marketplaces for car leasing in Germany, with over 75,000 customers. In 2021, Sven exited his the company to the AutoScout24 / LeasingMarkt Group.

Heiko Huber has more than 10 years of experience in the B2B/tech startup ecosystem - as founder, investor and facilitator. Heiko co-founded the Munich-based fitness company EGYM, worked for McKinsey & Company and in the investment team of Siemens' NEXT47.

Furthermore, Heiko was Managing Director of the renown accelerator program TechFounders, where he supported leading corporates and large SMEs in collaborating with the best startups in their industry and helped 120+ B2B/tech startups to scale.

He holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Technical University of Munich and an MBA from Collège des Ingénieurs
