What's the difference between Revu Classic and Revu Web?

Revu Classic is the original native macOS app: local-first, fully offline, open source under GPL 3. It's feature-complete and free forever. Revu Web is the cloud-native evolution with AI content generation, calendar-aware scheduling, intelligent study sessions, analytics, and cross-platform browser access.

Why did you open-source the macOS app?

We believe the foundation should be accessible to everyone. Open-sourcing Classic lets students who only need local FSRS and spaced repetition use it free forever. It also lets us focus fully on pushing Revu Web forward, and lets the community maintain and extend Classic independently.

Is Revu Classic still maintained?

Revu Classic is feature-complete and stable. It works fully offline with no external dependencies. The community can maintain, fork, and extend it via the open-source repository.

How accurate is the AI-generated content?

AI-generated cards are suggestions, not gospel. Revu shows you every generated card for review before adding it to your deck. You can edit, approve, or reject each one. The AI uses your actual course materials as source, which significantly reduces hallucination, but you're always the final editor.

Can I migrate from Revu Classic to Revu Web?

Yes. Export your data from Classic and import into Web. We will provide a migration guide when Revu Web launches.
