My life is over!

Image
So Jacob has started testing the limits these days. He loves to play in the dog food and water. We are trying to teach him the word "No No", but he seems to think it is a game. He is soon to be one, so I thought I would try a little 30 second time out with him. So I put him in the corner. He acted as if his life was over! He cried and put his head on the floor as if he could just not go on. But, he stayed in time out for 30 seconds! I had to take a picture. He is so cute, even when he is throwing a fit. (Well, sometimes)

Thanksgiving Point

We had intended to go to the zoo on Saturday, but chore after chore needed to be done and we didn't make it. We ended up taking the boys to Thanksgiving Point's petting zoo. We had a blast. The weather was perfect and there way no one there. We got to feed the goats, the boys went on some pony rides, and we walked around enjoying being together. Jacob FREAKED out when we helped him pet the goats! He did not like it at all. We kept working at it, and he finally decided to would reach his hand out all by himself to pet one. Right as he got close enough to touch, the goat sneezed and shook his head. That scared Jacob so bad, he was done! He would not touch it, get close to it, and didn't even want to look at it any more. Jeremy and I were a little surprised at this reaction, but we couldn't help but laugh. It was pretty funny to watch.

We were able to go down and spend some time with my Grandma this last week. We ate at one of Grandpa's favorite Mexican places, we played some shuffle-board, cards, and just enjoyed each others company. When I was little, we started calling my Grandpa and Grandma "Big Grandpa" and "Big Grandma" because they are so tall. The name just stuck and to this day we sill call them that. Grandpa and Grandma had one of the best relationships I've ever seen. After 60 years, they still acted like newlyweds sometimes! They have been the perfect Grandparents. I can walk into their house and be instantly comforted. There has always been such a loving peaceful feeling there. Thank you Grandpa and Grandma, for being such great examples to us grandchildren. We love you both so very much. Grandpa, you will be missed very much. We take comfort knowing we will be reunited again one day.
