So I can't get  my cursor to go above the top picture, but this was our trip to New York in June to visit my parents on their mission.  We had a blast and this is one of our favorite places in their mission.  It is called Crandall Farm and they have the best strawberrys and cream ever!  We love going there to get a treat and look at their huge pumpkins in the fall!

E.B. Grandin Building.  This is where the Book of Mormon was published and my kids favorite church site.  As you can see Burke was not happy!

My cousin Taylor serves in my parents mission and he was serving in Palmyra so we got to see him.  This was a great moment!

They love grandpa.  They hadn't seen him for 2 years before this trip.

This is the backyard of the mission home.  The kids played for hours out there and the boys played golf every day.

How long has it been since you've seen a skip it??  Ellie loved this thing and she practiced and practiced until she got the hang of it.

The Sacred Grove was beautiful the day we were there.  It is so peaceful and lovely at every season of the year.  I love it there!

Memorial Day Fun!!
We went with our friends the Bratt's to their cabin for the day and we had a blast.  We rode 4 wheelers, a dune buggy and and a little bit of horseback riding.  The day was beautiful and the views were breathtaking!

Silver Lake Reservoir.  Ellie and Burke loved being on the lake.  I tried it and actually loved it.  It was so relaxing- much to my surprise!

There are these huge bolders that the boys had fun exploring and climbing on.

This is heaven to my children!

All they need is rocks and water and they could be happy for hours!  Bradley was so dirty!  I love watching them be kids and get dirty and love the outdoors!

Ashton loves animals and was so excited when he saw there were horses up there today.

Ellie is a natural and loves horses!  She wants one so bad.  She stayed firm in place when another horse was trying to kick her horse with its hind legs.  That's my girl!

This little dune buggy was a blast.  It was by far the older boys favorite thing of the day. We got muddy every time we hit a puddle and it was awesome!  I could barely get Brax out of it!  He was a good driver and took everyone for rides.  This is what they all want for Christmas!  So fun!!

Decorating Graves
I love Memorial Day.  It has always been a big day for my family.  My whole life we have gone to Wellington, Utah to decorate all of the Pinegar graves.  It has given appreciation and love for my ancestors and I still love hearing the stories of my great grandparents.  We don't go there as often now, and I have my grandparents graves to decorate.  On Sunday evening we went to Spanish Fork to my grandpa's grave.  I love that cemetery because there are so many flags for veterans there.  My grandpa passed away in August so this is the first year that he had a flag.  The kids were so excited to find his flag amid the sea of flags.

There is a ditch that runs the length of the cemetery and there was a tiny bit of water in it.  The kids had a ball playing in it.  I loved it because I use to do the same thing as a little girl.
Image
We also went to the Orem Cemetery to my Nana's grave.  She died almost 13 years ago.  I love taking my kids here so that they can learn about her and know what she was like as we get together and talk about her.

Ashton is 6!
Ashton turned 6 two days after Brad turned 4.  He has been so excited and has had a long weekend since his surgery.  This is him with his birthday shoes which he hasn't taken off, I have to make him take them off to go to bed!

Ashton wanted Crepes for his birthday breakfast.  They are his absolute favorite!!

Image
We had a family BBQ that night to celebrate his birthday and we had this yummy cake for both boys.  Ash was doing so well two days after his surgery.  He was off pain killers and back to his very active self.  The human body is amazing!!

Ashton's Ear Surgery- Round 3
Ashton had his 3rd surgery in 6 months on the 24th. He is such a trooper!  This time we were at the hospital so much longer; we were there for 10 hours!  We had a 2 hour wait after we got there, and then he was in surgery for about 3 1/2 hours, and then he was in recovery for just over 4 hours due to some problems with the morphine he was given.  The good news is that instead of stapleing his ear back on this time, they super glued it and it has made his recovery much less painful.  Ashton is such a brave boy and I am so proud of him!!
