Congressional sniping
I am one of those guys who often turn on C-Span’s coverage of Congressional hearings. I have observed that over the last decade these hearings have been reduced to sniping sessions often resulting in sophomoric statements or badgering the witness sessions. This is not what our elected officials were elected to do.
Congressional hearings should be an attempt to get information that could be used to develop important legislative actions. Unfortunately, over the past decade these hearings have been reduced to partisan showmanship meant to get social media attention.
Why have witnesses appear at all when they often dd not them answer questions? What is the purpose of cutting witnesses off when they try to answer or not allowing them to respond to accusation after accusation? We now have a Congress that mines for sound bites rather than information.
Yesterday, Jack Smith’s House hearing was an amateurish attempt by Jim Jordan and his Republican colleagues to trap Smith in some sort of legal shenanigans. Their attempt failed as Smith and the Democrats skillfully made them look foolish. The Republicans often refused to allow Smith actually to answer their idiotic questions or respond to their foolish accusations. The Democrats on the other hand allowed Smith to fully answer all questions and respond to comments. The Democrats afforded Smith the opportunity to inform the Nation just how he was sure the indictment of Trump would succeed without a shadow of doubt.
Smith’s hearing is a good example of what these Congressional hearings have become over the past decade or so. Gone are the times when they were often used as bipartisan attempt to serve the people of our Nation.
We need to return to those days. The days when our Congressional Representative were more focused on serving our Nation rather than auditioning for social media sound bites. If we don’t, I fear as a Nation we are doomed.
Apologies needed
Apologies are needed to the world today. Trump’s rambling remarks at today’s world economic forum at Davos was an embarrassment for our Nation. He insulted world leaders by name as well as our own former presidents. His rambling complaining combined with is outright fabrications of his own perceived successes was truly alarming.
Trump is a psychopathic narcissist. His remarks today have the potential of putting the entire globe at risk. He truly enjoys putting us all at risk. It is even more alarming that his handlers allowed that speech to be put on the teleprompter at all. That alone should frighten us all. Those that advise him, either have no control or they are the real architects of the destruction of our national identity.
I won’t repeat his lies and attacks here; however, I do encourage everyone to watch them. It is important that the majority of us hear the load of crap he bestowed on the world today.
When will Republicans rein this administration in? How long will this national, turning global, nightmare go on? In one short year, we are no longer seen as the shining beacon on the hill. We are being viewed globally as a pariah led by a mad man.
There is only one way to repair our national identity to the world. Impeach Trump, impeach his administration, prosecute those guilty of atrocities against our own population, release the Epstein files, and vote out anyone who supported Trump.
That is the only acceptable apology to the world that may restore our leadership.
Look Here Not There!
Trump is deathly afraid of the Epstein files being seen by the nation. We all know he is named in the files, and we know he is a convicted sexual predator. What we do not know is to what extent did he molest little girls. We know he met Melania on the Epstein jet and reports are that they immediately had sex on the flight. We know Melania was good friends with Epstein and Maxwell. What we don’t know is to what extent was Melenia part of the child trafficking scheme. We also don’t know yet, who else was involved with raping little girls.
Trump’s handlers and co-conspirators only hope of keeping this out of the public eye is to distract us. What better way to distract then to invade a country, invade a state, thrust us into a conflict with our NATO allies that could lead to another World War. Trump is using the threat of the Insurrection Act to further his distraction.
The question I have is, we all know Trump is a moron, so who is really behind this? Take a look at his advisors. They seem to be defending Trump’s actions all the time. Are they really, or they really covering up their actions? Look at the ones that are the loudest. Look at the ones that are reaping in the rewards of these actions.
History will eventually reveal the real culprits. Hopefully history will be brutal when it comes to Trump and his cohorts. The question always is, who will write the history?
My point is, don’t be distracted by Trump’s words. The real culprits are right in front of us, let’s expose them and call them out.
A Nation Falling Into the Abyss
A nation falling into the abyss is how I would describe our nation today. Watching ICE assault people, regardless of their immigration or citizen status is something that I never thought I would witness in our country. As a kid, in the 60’s I had nightmares that the NAZI’s would invade us and drag people out of their cars and homes. That was a result of watching WWII documentaries and movies. Watching the ‘Combat” tv show my friends and I would play soldier fighting the NAZI’s in our backyards. We knew as 9-10 year olds that what they did was wrong and a good force was needed to stop them.
Today, as a 70 year old grandfather those nightmares have returned. Not from watching movies but from watching current events. Unlike the games we played as kids, this has turned into a national nightmare. This weekend I saw reports of a 16 year old kid getting ripped out of his job at Target, beat up, thrown into a car and then kicked out miles away when the ICE thugs realized this kid was a citizen.
Today I saw a young lady trying to drive down a street to a doctor’s appointment get ripped out of her car and taken away. I saw a group of ICE thugs kick open a door to a house and drag the occupants out. Last week we all witnessed the cold blooded murder of a mom who did not comply fast enough with illegal demands from ICE thugs. We then saw another ICE thug threaten others who were filming his actions with the words, “Didn’t you learn the lesson the other day”.
These ICE thugs were recruited from the Proud Boys. Remember when Trump told them to stand by? What we are witnessing is no different from what I saw in those NAZI movies I watched as a kid. This weekend I saw Noem standing at a podium with a NAZI slogan that said “One our ours, all of yours”. This was a NAZI slogan that justified the slaughter of an entire village.
Our Nation is falling into a dark abyss unless we gather the good forces to stop this. I knew that as a kid, and I know that now. Don’t stand by.. speak up, protest and do whatever you can to stand against these dark forces. Ignore the comments from MAGA MORONS that have taken to our social media sites with immature sophomoric comments. Thise morons are unhappy with their lives, and they have used the rhetoric of MAGA to weaponize social media sites. We learned in history that Hitler used the same tactic, target those that are unhappy with the results of WWI and weaponize their hatred.
Let’s rally our good forces to get out of the abyss and into the sunshine. I know we can do it.
Morality redefined
Trump, the felon, the sexual offender, the accused pedophile, the draft dodger, the twice impeached President, the destructor of the White House, the guy found guilty of charities fraud, the guy who was penalized for racial discrimination in his real estate business, the fraud who routinely failed to pay his sub-contractors, the guy who buried his ex-wife on his golf course, the guy who sent a mob to storm the capitol, the defender of Putin’s attack on Ukraine, the destroyer of US AID that has saved millions of children’s lives in the past and what now has caused millions to die, declared on Wednesday evening that his power as commander in chief is constrained only by his “own morality”.
If we as American’s put up with this must longer, we need to look at our own morality. How long will we sit back and watch this thug destroy our national identity? Yesterday’s Vance attacked the free press from the White House Press room for accurately describing the unfortunate killing of a Renee Good by a masked ICE thug. Noem and Trump condemned Good while her cold dead body was still on the scene, accusing her of causing her own death.
Is this the morality that will define us as a nation?
I write as a form of protest, hoping to persuade those on the fence to act as well. We all must spread the word that Trump’s morality does not define us. Do it anyway you can.
Our Torn National Fabric
Will we survive or will our Nation’s fabric continue to be torn beyond any hopes of repair? Will Congress step up and put an end to this national nightmare? Are we heading towards a Civil War? Are we on the cusp of worldwide conflict that would thrust us into a new dark age?
When we see social media comments that justify the killing of a protester and American citizens being ripped off the streets without any due process rights, we must stand up and be counted. After reading comments on social media platforms that echo the outrageous lies of the Trump administration, I have a better understanding now how Hitler was able to brainwash a majority of his nation’s population. Pick scapegoats, and attack with lies over and over until the lies become a new truth.
Remember in the first Trump administration where they touted alternative facts as truth? At that time, we looked at their arguments about inauguration crowd sizes as silly rhetoric. But unfortunately, it actually set the stage for the chaos we have today.
The latest this week is that the Trump mentioned in the Epstein files most likely mean another Trump because there are many others that have the name Donald Trump. The lie that Trump only went into Venezuela to arrest an indicted criminal when we all know he wants the oil and he most likely cut a deal with Putin trading Venezuela for Ukraine. Another lie is that “paid protesters” are the ones protesting ICE raids of schools, churches, court rooms and bedroom communities.
Will yesterday’s murder by ICE be another George Floyd moment? Will Trump use the excuse that those protesting this murder will allow him to institute the insurrection clause? What will you do when ICE enters your community?
To those who support Trump.. SHAME ON YOU! There is no justification for anything he has done. You have been brainwashed and are now part of his cult that has allowed the release your own racist ideology. You are the real enemy from within.
The Danger of a Nation Distracted
Mainstream media and the public at large are often easily distracted by the latest shiny new object. Watching and reading the news the last few days the shiny new object is Maduro and Venezuela. While this is an important story as well as Trump’s threats to World Order, vital issues have now been put on the back burner to simmer. The question is will these issues be ignored and allowed to be reduced until they are only charred remains in our national identity.
The Venezuela issue has overshadowed vital issues that must be addressed and covered with the same zeal that drives today’s headlines.
A healthcare crisis should be our #1 story. Millions are losing access to healthcare and others are facing an economic crisis due to exploding insurance costs. I consider myself one of the lucky ones because my union contract provided a provision that allows me to have good insurance that backs up my Medicare in my retirement. My concern is that if the industry collapses, I too will be at risk. Recently my Pacemaker needed to be replaced. A common procedure that millions undertake every year. My hospital bill for a 3 hour stay and a 30-minute procedure was $69,000! Luckily my co-pay was only $50. I am the lucky one today, but what would my options be if I did not have insurance? Between my medications and other costs, without insurance I would be dead. Millions of our fellow citizens are now facing that reality. Many will die without proper healthcare. This should be the shiny object that we all should be focused on.
Have you been to the supermarket lately? The prices are insanely high. Many staple items are becoming unaffordable for most people. Food pantries across the nation are seeing a dramatic increase those seeking help. While at the same time, these food pantries are finding it harder and harder to garner the resources to help those in need. Another shiny object that we should focus on!
Energy costs are skyrocketing. Notice your home heating bill and electric bill have risen dramatically? What happens to those who cannot afford these increases. Today is was -4 degrees in my neighborhood, how do those who can’t afford basic necessities survive?
Trump is a disaster that provides the media with a shiny new object to be distracted with almost everyday. It’s not the shiny new objects that we should be focused on. We need to seriously address the kitchen table issues that affect our everyday lives. Because, if we don’t, that pot on the back burner will eventually burn the house down.
Donroe Doctrine of Decline
Yesterday’s post described how Trump is following Putin’s philosophy of spheres of influence, I explained how Putin believes the US should control the Western Hemisphere, Russia should control Europe and China should control the East.
Putin’s invasion of Ukraine is based on that philosophy, and European nations are well aware of his goal to dominate them. Tawain has been on high alert expecting China to take over their nation as well. Putin’s plan needed a puppet in the West and Trump has filled that void.
It has been well documented that Putin orchestrated a movement to put Trump in the White House and as his reward, Trump and his family has been rewarded with financially.
Trump announced his new Donroe Doctrine yesterday. He stated that it will replace the Monroe Doctrine. The Monroe Doctrine was a statement to every world power that no country would ever be allowed to attack and colonize any Western Hemisphere Country.

Under that order, the members of the United Nations agreed they would not threaten or attack another country. That new world order would justify Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Now the U.S. invasion of Venezuela with the promise that the U.S. is going to “run” the country from now on, as part of its quest to dominate the Western Hemisphere, means the U.S. has abandoned the post–World War II international order and is siding with Russia’s vision.
“By proceeding without any semblance of international legitimacy, valid legal authority or domestic endorsement, Mr. Trump risks providing justification for authoritarians in China, Russia and elsewhere who want to dominate their own neighbors,” wrote the New York Times editorial board. That justification seems to be the point.
Trump’s Donroe Doctrine is throwing out the international order agreed to by most of the world. He stated yesterday that he is establishing a new government in Venezuela and will be taking over the oil production and the revenues. That is colonization at its worst. Taking over a nation for its natural resources will set that stage for setting the world on fire.
Yesterday he threatened Cuba, Columbia, and Mexico. He actually said that the President of Columbia “should watch his ass”. Stephan Miller’s wife posted an image of Greenland with the U.S Flag graphic covering it.
Now the world faces a new threat. Will other nations kidnap other leaders using Trump’s action against Maduro as justification? Will Putin look to kidnap Zelinsky? Will Putin look to kidnap our former diplomats that have been indicted by Russian Courts? Will China kidnap the leader of Taiwan using that same justification? Will Trump go after the President of Columbia? Will Pakistan look to kidnap the leaders of India?
Trump’s Donroe Doctrine is an impeachable offense. He swore an oath the follow the laws and our Constitution. We signed on to that United Nations rule on International Order. By breaking that rule he violated our Constitution. The question that we all should be asking is , will our Congress step in and finally state that enough is enough? We as a nation should change that question into a demand. Enough is enough!

Trump has threatened Denmark, Canada, Panama, Venezuela, Mexico and Columbia.
He has tried to rename the Gulf of Mexico, the Gulf of America.
He has entered in an inhuman agreement with El Salvidor.
He has brought our Navy into the Caribbean and murdered over 100 people in international waters.
He continues his killing spree the western Pacific.
He is doing everything he possible can to give Putin a win over Ukraine.
He is weakening NATO and destroying our relationship with our European Allies.
He has allowed China to lead the world in Electric vehicles while at the same time ignoring legislation that mandated the sale of Tic Tok.
He has also allowed China to bus Chips from Nividia that would make China the world leader in AI technology. The question also remains will Trump defend Taiwan if China invades?
So why am I concerned that Trump is Strong Arming our Western Hemisphere Allies and abandoning our European Allies while at the same time boosting China in the East?

In April, of last year, Aleksander Dugin was interviewed on CNN and he stated that he believes Trump is closer ideologically to President Putin than to Washington’s Western allies.
Aleksander Dugin ( born in 1962) is a Russian political philosopher, often referred to as “Putin’s brain” or “Putin’s philosopher”, is a leading theorist of neo-Eurasianism. He believes Russia is on a Messianic mission and that Russia needs to destroy Ukraine and take over Europe to fulfill a divine goal.
Dugin believes Russia should control the entire European/Russian continent and that they would leave everything west of the Atlantic for the Untied States.
During Trump’s first campaign, Dugin urged Americans to vote for Trump. It is well documented that Russia influenced that campaign with thousands of fake bots posting phony conspiracies. Remember the child sacrifices being performed in a pizza parlor basement claim?? Russia was an integral part of the Trump campaign which is well documented.
Why is the media ignoring the ties Trump has with the Russian political machine??
Dugin pushes Russian Nationalism and antisemitism. He believes in traditionalism and he has become a strong supporter of, Vladimir Putin, who believes in traditional Russian values. Dugin and Putin are against liberalist anti-religious individualism, which they claim destroys the values and culture on which society is based. Sound familiar??
Dugin supports Putin’s claim that Russia is so unified that they could have skipped the 2024 election and that the entire Russian population is in favor of the Ukraine war. Sound familiar?
Dugin pushes a view that is opposed to the European Union and liberalism. Dugin endorses Trump’s policies that are divisive and weakens US political politics. He believes Trump’s policies have a lot more in common with Putin’s that most people realize.
They believe in divine intervention that would rid Europe of homosexuals and Liberalism. Their tactics include telling falsehoods so many times that they become the truth while persecuting others for disagreeing. They attack journalists and jail anyone who disagrees.
Putin is playing 3D chess while Trump is learning how to maneuver the ladders in Candyland. Trump is destroying the economy of the world as Putin sits back and waits for his opportunity to take over Europe.
There is a reason Dugin has recently surfaced on main stream media. This is Putin’s way to gauge whether or not the American people react. It’s been over a week and there has been none. Another Putin win.
