Happy New Year!

This year for New Year's Eve we went to Rob's brother's house to celebrate. We played Mofia and the name game all night and over ate and laughed and brought in the New Year with party poppers and noise makers and sparkling cider. We had alot of fun. And we wish you all a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Mom and the girls ready to go sledding on New Year's Eve. Rob stayed home with Kymbree. We didn't want to take any chances with her getting sick. I remember 3 years ago when Katelyn was 7 months old and Kirah was 2 we were in the ER with RSV. The doctors had to suck the junk out of Katelyn's lungs and she was almost hospitalized. They told us not to take the girls outside or they would get pneumonia. We stayed inside all of January, February and most of March. It was a nightmare. I had to be very creative with indoor activities so that the girls wouldn't get cabin fever. I never want to relive that again! Thank goodness Kymbree has been healthy so far.

Kymbree is 6 months old on Christmas

Our sweet baby turned 6 months old on Christmas! I can't believe half a year has gone by since I had her. She really has been such a blessing for our family. I just love my sweet, happy baby!

Christmas morning

Every year we make the girls sit on the stairs while we go and see if Santa came.

And yes he did!! He got started early this year and maybe (ok yes he did) got carried away.

Kirah and Katelyn were so excited and Kymbree only wanted to eat the wrapping paper.

My mom and dad and my brother Trevor came to watch the girls open presents. I made a yummy breakfast of crepes and a hashbrown casserole. And anyone that knows my brother knows that he is a health nut and he couldn't stop eating the crepes. He said if he's going to eat unhealthy it's going to be worth it. So that made me feel good. We had a wonderful day. Rob was supposed to go into work at 3pm but his supervisor told him to keep his phone on and he would basically be on call if they needed him and they didn't so he got this year off! We were so excited to have him for the whole day. Christmas was wonderful! I love this time of year.

Jammies on Christmas Eve!

Like alot of families, we open one present on Christmas Eve and yes, It's always pajamas. I really love pink and brown and having all girls, I got them these cute ones! And I have to say these girls are so dang cute!!!

Santa to ground control!

We went to Rob's work at the Air Traffic Control Center and the girls got to see Santa's sleigh on the radar and they got to talk to santa and tell him what they wanted for Christmas while they watched him fly across the screen. That was really cool and the girls loved it. But as soon as they were done talking they wanted to rush home and get to sleep so that Santa wouldn't skip our house.

Mismatch day and mishaps

Image

At 2:30 AM Katelyn rolled out of bed and smacked her mouth on her bedframe. Her mattress doesn't fit her bedframe exactly and when she rolled, her mouth slammed onto the frame and there was lots of crying and blood. The poor little thing. This picture is the next morning with a big old blister on her lip. We felt so bad for her. Rob took care of her in the night because when Katelyn started screaming, she woke Kymbree up and I took care of that. Of course, Kirah in the same room as Katelyn stayed asleep.

Kirah had mismatch day at school. As you can see, she looked like a freakshow. But we love our little freakshow. It was so funny every time she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror, she would giggle. I love to hear her giggle.

My family Christmas party

Every year we have a Christmas party at my house with my side of the family. As you can see, no one gets left out. It's always so much fun. We have dinner and do a chocolate fountain and open presents. You can't even see the floor! Katelyn fell asleep during dinner and that was the end of her. No matter what we tried, she would not wake up until 9:30 of course!
