Brooklyn's Christmas Music Program

Brooklyn's Preschool performed some Christmas songs at the University Mall. It was seriously one of the cutest things! Mad Props to her teacher, Miss Molly, who has the patience of an angel! Honestly...four preschool classes together at one time in the mall to perform...and they did great! It was so fun to see all of them singing so loud and proud. Brooklyn has loved learning all these holiday songs and has been singing them all season for us. I love it!!! Here are the pictures...ImageAll lined up and holding hands with their friends. They made their cute necklaces in class one day and got to shake the bells on them for the "Jingle Bells" song.

ImageTaylor was such a proud big sister. She chose to be late to school so that she could be sure to be there to watch Brooklyn perform. (That's a big deal still at this age...she loves Kindergarten!)

Christmas Dance Recital

The girls have such a fun time going to dance class. They really love their teacher, Miss Paula and are both so lucky to have lots of friends in their classes. Both Taylor and Brooklyn look forward to recitals SO much! I think we even had a countdown for the last month leading up to the recital. We try to make it a special occasion...where they get their hair all done fancy AND get to put on REAL makeup...their favorite part!

The Christmas Recital was so cute this year. Taylor's dance was based around, "Frosty the Snowman" and Brooklyn's was something like "The Night Before Christmas" where the cute little girls were sneaking and opening their presents. So cute! They both did a great job and had such a fun time!

The Pre-Show Jitters
I love this picture of all the little dancers backstage before the show. They were all so excited and nervous for their big recital! I totally remember those feelings and emotions from back in the day when I was in dance. Image

Gingerbread Houses!

ImageOne of our favorite Holiday traditions is to make Gingerbread Houses each year as a family. {Gotta love the Costco Gingerbread House Kits!!} This year we got a couple of them so that the girls could just be creative, decorate however they wanted to and not be influenced by each other (also known as preventing a fight).
Image
ImageSo excited and proud of their creations!! Taylor is quite our little artist and Brooklyn is......

Image our "sampler"! I hove how she was trying the candy. After all, isn't that what making a Gingerbread house is all about? It was a lot of fun and we even got them started early on in the holiday season so we could display them all month long!!!

Chris Finally Gets Married!

ImageCongratulations Chris and Madi! It was such a great day. I was so excited to go to the Salt Lake City Temple to be apart of their wedding.

Look at these two!! Can you say, "Models?" Aren't they such a striking couple! This is one of their engagement pictures and it is great...but look at how amazing they look at the temple!Image

ImageIt was really cold and windy outside...but my girls couldn't contain their excitement to see Chris & Madison all dressed up and officially married! I do love how they LOVE weddings...especially when they happen to be sealed and married in the Temple! It is such a great example to them.

The Reception was such a parTAY!!! Seriously, it was so cute. They served freshly made waffles with fruit and Carmel syrup...yum! It was really modern and cute and the best part was the fun atmosphere and Dancing! Wow...Madi's family really likes to dance! Starting with her adorable Grandma...I loved it! I hope I'm like that. Brooklyn was ALL about the dancing. She was always finding someone new to dance with and stayed up until like 10 PM....just dancing. It was so cute!

Sunday Afternoon @ the Park!

We had a fun fall afternoon at he park in Alpine. It was a little colder than we expected but the girls had a blast regardless of the temperature. Poor little P's fingers and nose were SO cold by the time we left, but she didn't really seem to mind. It was just a fun relaxing time. It made me think...why don't we do this more often?
