Rolling Out’s “Vision of HIV” is a grant-funded editorial series that breaks stigma through authentic storytelling and community-centered journalism. The program addresses HIV awareness, prevention, and treatment through the voices of those most affected, centering Black and LGBTQ+ communities while challenging outdated myths and persistent discrimination.
We are excited to partner with the Counter Narrative Project (CNP) on this vital work. For over a decade, CNP has partnered with writers, artists, journalists, and community storytellers to elevate authentic and empowering narratives of Black LGBTQIA+ people. CNP provides resources and insights for journalists covering HIV, LGBTQIA+ issues, and public health, and produces impactful content through its digital publication The Reckoning. Through strategic collaborations and grassroots partnerships, CNP continues to transform cultural conversations and drive equity in media representation—making them the ideal partner for Rolling Out’s Vision of HIV series.
