Graduation & Anniversary

I finally graduated from USU December 13th. What a great feeling! Yay for no more school! The actual graduation day kinda sucked cause there was a serious blizzard in Logan and they still had us do the processional from the Fieldhouse to the Spectrum and then do a lap around the Spectrum. What made it worse was that I was not going to sacrifice my cute heels for safe snow boots so I was walking through the slush and snow in my cute little black heels (which definitely complemented my outfit :) )

Most of my family were able to make it up for the occasion and we had a blast just chillin' in my tiny apartment. What was really cool was that I was able to graduate with two of my really good friends, Kenzie and Adam Johnson.

Yay for me and Jordan's 1 yr anniversary!

So while we are down here in St. George me and Jord decided we better follow the age old tradition and eat a piece of our wedding cake on our 1 yr anniversary. It wasn't that great but it was fun to do and it was fun to see part of our cute cake again.

I am a little nervous, but in two hours I will be going to Layton to give a presentation at the statewide UACD convention. Bob Fotheringham (Cache Valley Water Manager), Thayne Mickelson (Logan UACD Resource Coordinator) and little ol' me will be giving four 45 min presentations on our Irrigation Assessment Project. "Yikes" is all I have to say.

st george trip & work

me and jo went home this last weekend. we loved it. it was really good seeing our family. my mom moved to a new place in ivins so basically all we were doing this trip was driving to my mom's then to jo's mom's house, then to my dad's house....just driving everywhere all day. we also went up to pine valley. i have a project that im working on in remote sensing where i am classfiying the land cover for the area. it went pretty crappy but it was so nice to be back in pine valley. we love it there.

i started working at the county offices today. i love my new job and my cute little cubical. for everyone who wonders what i do....here is my project in a nutshell. i am working for the utah association of conservation districts and cache county on a project which involves mapping cache county's water related landuse and water rights. specifically, i am working with two different canal companies here in cache to deliniate which agricultural fields, that recieve water for irrigation, have been annexed or subdivided and are no longer using the water. this is to be done for a 7 year period. its fun and i am learning a lot.

well i put the picture and video of aria on for everyones enjoyment. she is such a little gem!

New Job

Well I just got a new job that I am really really excited about! I will be working for the Utah Association of Conservation Districts (UACD) and Cache County as a GIS specialist. I will be working there part time, working at the Geospatial Lab part time and still going to school full time. It sounds bad, but I only have about two more months of school and then I'll be a real life career woman!

Deer Hunt

Jordan went huntin' this last weekend with Jody and Kody McDonald and got his first deer. One shot. I am so proud. While Jord was gone I went shoppin' in Orem with one of my best buddies, Diana Rothfels. We met up with Ashley G and went out to eat and did some more shopping. It was a really really good weekend.
When Jordan got home he brought the deer inside in bags and had me help him debone the deer on the kitchen table. It was a pretty interesting experience. Now we have about a ton of deer jerky and steaks. If anyone wants some let me know!!!!

Ward Camp Out

last weekend we had a Hillcrest 1st ward camp out at the Cinnamon Creek Campground. it was so fun. we really really love our ward. we roasted hot dogs, had s'mores, played steal the flag, had a night program and in the morning the bishopric made breakfast. it was freezin and we got a flat tire, but we loved it.

Shooting @ Constellation Canyon

we decided to go shooting because Jordan and Kody needed to sight-in their guns for the hunt sept. 26th. we went to a new place out in Hyde park called Constellation Canyon. here are some pics from that adventure.

Summer Summary
