The skeleton February
trees let me see
the stars shining
above my yard.
Month: March 2019
Morning
One by one, I
raise the paper
shades and let
the morning in.
Iliagnus
The Russian Olive’s
spikey branches
reach out to the
rose bush, green
leaves a contrast
to the bare branches
of the Red Bud. I
drink my tea.
Breakfast
I eat my oatmeal
with blueberries
and apple.
James asleep in the other
room. I drink
my tea.
Grey Sky
The grey sky hides
the sun from the
pavement that still
shines from last
night’s rain
Dancing in the Kitchen
Sunshine
The sun warms
my feet through
the window
Dusk

Riding through the dusk,
I see stories
behind
closed curtains.
