oh i loved Bath to its very bits. i love the south of England. many a time i resent being up north where it is dull and dreary, and completely lacking the greenery and the beauty of the classic English countryside. 2 more years and i promise, i am packing my bags and heading down south! whether or not they give me a job. :p
i fell in love with England 7 years ago, when i was in Oxford, the Cotswolds and Stratford. and then i came back to England again, this time finding myself up north, only to be disappointed by how industrialised this region is. i love Manchester i really do, but only because it is relatively fast-paced, the shopping is great and there are many things to eat and do. but it is far from picturesque and it isn't a place i can drown myself in to find peace. and don't get me started on Preston. or Blackburn. the south is where i want to be.
i have been so inspired since my visit to Bath that i've been immersing myself in English classic films, each of which i've watched at least 3 times before this! one of my favourite classic writers is Jane Austen and it is no surprise where and how she got her inspiration to write. she was, after all, from Bath.
