Halloween

Halloween started with going to all of the kid's Halloween parades. Stockton refused to wear his costume to school though. Brooks felt a little embarrassed to wear his muscle man shirt so he just went as a "basketball player" instead. After school, we had chili and cornbread before heading out for trick-or-treating with our friends. We got SO much candy and I loved watching the kids "sort" their candies and "trade" with their siblings. I remember doing that as a kid as well.

Ky Work

I really do love my job and I love the people I work with. I feel like I do a good job at my job and I am so glad I made the leap to the hospital 2 years ago! It challenges me every day and I am so glad to grow and learn.

This month, some random women that apparently has a crazy large following that one of my coworkers happens to follow, posted about how great their surgery experience was with their daughter. And lo and behold I was one of the nurses that took care of her. And she posted a pic with me in it. It was pretty crazy!

A funny meme I saw. Sometimes my manager drives us all crazy so when I saw this I laughed. 

It's quite often that I get a surprise on my windshield after work. It always makes me smile and I hope that whomever does it or keeps doing it knows that it makes us smile. 

Throughout the month of October, my coworkers and I would dress up as ghosts (with bed linens over our heads) and either dance, pull a prank, or do something random. This one we danced. I am the one with the pointy head from my ponytail. We sent out a video of it all on Halloween to our manager, who had no idea any of this was happening. 

Kids

I know I always say it but I sure love my kids. They are the purpose of my life and I am so grateful for all that they are and all that they will be. I hope they forever know and feel that I am their #1 fan. I will support, love, protect and stand up for them for the rest of their lives. 

Hot chocolate run to Starbucks

Russ got the kids entire basketball cards. Every night they open a new pack of cards and divvy them out between them all. They each have their own card case and absolutely love it. They have spent hours playing with their cards. Organizing them by team, ranking them from best to worst and everything in between. This was something that Russ was really into as a kid and he loves that the kids love it just as much as he does. When Russ would open a new pack of cards he would immediately smell the cards and it was so nostalgic for him. Haha!

Brooks

Oh my Brooksie boy! He is sweet and snuggly but can go 0 to rage in no time. We are still working on him managing his emotions when he doesn't get what he wants. He LOVES his friends and I pray daily that he is a good example to them and knows right from wrong. He is my kid that will do anything for a good laugh and that makes me nervous. He wants to have a six pack so bad and often sits in front of his reflection from the fireplace glass and flexes. Haha! I loves to pretend that he has his "own YouTube channel" and takes my phone and records himself talking to his fans.

Progress note from his reading tutor. He loves his tutor and I hoping his confidence with reading will come with time because he really is right where he should be with it.

Brooks Jr. Jazz

Brooks absolutely cooks in Jr. Jazz. He dominates so obviously that it almost feels embarrassing like we shouldn't be there. If they would have given our money back when we wanted to cancel after registering and then finding out we made Invictus we wouldn't have done it. But, Brooks loves it and I think it was a good confidence booster for him!
