How do I complete the peaceful night challenge?
You have to be outside your base before 8:30 pm and cannot die or be in your tc range until 6:40 am.
You have to be outside your base before 8:30 pm and cannot die or be in your tc range until 6:40 am.
You can display an image on any supported sign or photo frame using a link. Just look at the sign before running the command.
Replace the current image with one from a URL.
/sil <url>
The link does not need to end in .png or .jpg. It just has to be a valid image URL.
Some signs support multiple image slots.
/sil <url> <frame>
Example: /sil https://example.com/image 2
Note: Frame numbers start at 1.
Note: Available on Scourge, Survival and Elysium servers.
Certain entities you place can be levelled up, which scales (if applicable) consumption as well as production with the level amount.
For example: If you have an Electric Furnace at level 2, it'll perform & consume twice as much. Level 3 will triple it, etc.
Important: Levelling up beyond level 10 usually costs Net Worth, which is displayed on the upgrade UI.
Here's an up-to-date list of all entities which can be levelled up across all of our modded servers.
The APC Distress Signal lets you spawn an APC event at Launch Site. You can buy it from the black market shop.
Purchase it from the black market shop menu.
/shop
Look under the Specialty tab.
Note: Failed throws do not consume the item.
The Black Market lets you buy and sell items using credits. Everything in the shop runs off your net worth.
Access the shop from anywhere.
/shop
Credits are based on your total net worth.
Custom items that never rotate.
Coming soon.
Note: This feature is not live yet.
You can remove default controls from the settings menu, or clear custom keybinds from the console.
Clear a bind directly from the console.
bind <key> ""
Example: bind b ""
Note: This only removes the bind from that key. It does not reset your other controls.
You can bind chat commands to a key so you do not have to type them every time.
Run server commands with one key press.
bind <key> chat.say /command
Example: bind b chat.say /home
Note: Binds are saved on your PC and only need to be set once.
You can bind almost anything in Rust to a key. This lets you run commands instantly without typing them in chat every time.
bind <key> chat.say /command
Replace <key> with the key you want and /command with the command.
bind b chat.say /home
Example: Pressing B will run /home in chat.
Separate actions with a semicolon.
bind z "+attack;+duck"
This swings and crouches at the same time. Common for farming nodes.
You can stack several binds in one line so you only paste once.
bind b chat.say /home;bind k chat.say /rec;bind h chat.say /trade
Paste the whole line into console and press Enter.
Note: Binds are saved on your PC. You only need to set them once unless Rust resets them.
bind q "+forward;+sprint"
bind z "+attack;+duck"
bind r chat.say /rec
Place a bed or sleeping bag, then type /home in chat to open your home menu. Every bed or bag you place becomes a teleport point automatically. This also works with camper modules on modular vehicles.
You can run /home anytime to see your saved homes and teleport to them.
View your homes and teleport from anywhere.
/home
Tip: Run this command from in game chat.
Note: Homes are tied to your bags and beds. If they disappear, the home disappears too.
You can hide both the RustEZ HUD and Rust’s built-in interface for clean screenshots or immersive gameplay.
Toggle the RustEZ overlay on or off at any time.
/hud
Tip: Run this command from in-game chat.
Disable the game UI for a fully clean screen.
Note: To restore everything, re-enable Rust’s UI options and type /hud in chat.
Net worth (our in-game RP/credit system) is account-bound and cannot be transferred between players, alternate accounts, or servers. This policy protects the economy and prevents abuse.
If you’re dealing with unusual circumstances, such as a hacked or stolen account, you may submit a Help Ticket with full details. We’ll review the situation, but restoration of net worth is not guaranteed.
Servers labeled “No Decay” in the title and description have decay fully disabled (view server list). Bases never require upkeep, so you can build without worrying about tool cupboard resources. However, after 10 days of inactivity, we remove all entities belonging to players who haven’t logged in — unless an active player is authorized on the cupboard.
Our servers wipe on the first Thursday of every month, in sync with Rust’s official forced wipe.
Rust updates constantly, and wipes are required to apply new content, map changes, and backend improvements that would otherwise break existing saves. A wipe resets the map and most player progress, giving everyone a fresh start and ensuring the server runs on the latest version of the game.
On our modded servers, some long-term progression carries over between wipes:
This means you still get the excitement of a fresh map each month while keeping meaningful long-term goals to work toward.
Because we follow the official Rust wipe schedule, you can always expect RustEZ to wipe on the first Thursday of each month.
A rejected connection to a RustEZ server with the message "Steam Auth: gamebanned" means your account has an EAC ban. The effects of the game ban are determined by the developer.
This is not a server-specific ban that we can assist with. More information on Game Bans can be found here, in Steam Support. https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/46DB-4CEC-F7E9-49E5
Depends what you have. The despawn timer for the backpack varies according to the highest tier of item contained.
When you die your corpse will remain for 5 minutes and then switch to a camouflaged backpack. If your best item is a torch, the backpack will despawn in 10 minutes after player death (5 min corpse + 5 min backpack). If you died with an M249 in your inventory, the backpack will despawn in 65 minutes (5 min corpse + 60 min backpack).
Be sure to thoroughly search the area where you died! The camouflaged backpack can be difficult to locate in some terrains, your corpse can be moved by jungle animals and by water. In the event you died with or near fire it may have been damaged enough that it no longer exists.
Detailed backpack despawn info is here.
You can submit a help ticket to discreetly report the player.
In-game F7 reporting should be used only for players who are hacking/cheating or experiencing game bugs, as it captures all the relevant info and Easy Anti-Cheat needed to investigate them by Facepunch.
Have an idea or suggestion to improve our servers? We’d love to hear it! You can post your suggestions here, where the community and staff can review, discuss, and vote on them.
Public monuments (such as Oil Rigs or Military Tunnels) and server events (including the Attack Helicopter or Bradley APC) are shared, server-wide activities that take place in public spaces and are not intended to be solo content.
If other players choose to participate, there is nothing you can do to prevent it — they’re there to have fun just like you. Playing on a community server means sharing content, and compromise is part of the experience.
Have ideas, suggestions, or something you think we could do better? We’d genuinely love to hear it. You can leave feedback on our dedicated Feedback forum, where our team actively reviews posts and uses them to improve servers, features, and community experience.
Whether it’s a small quality-of-life tweak, a balance concern, or a big idea you’d like to see on RustEZ, your input helps shape the direction of the community. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts!
Create a help ticket or reach out to leadership directly from our team page for discreet matters.
Net worth is our in-game RP/credit system on Survival and Scourge servers. You spend it on revives, ports [/home, /tp(name)] and when you buy or make purchases from the black market (/shop).
The rules are located on the Server Info tab. While connected to the server, hit Esc and scroll to the bottom of the server description. You can also access server rules from our Connect page.
On our modded servers you can also type /rules or /info in game chat to read the rules.
Type /commands or /help in chat to see a full list of commands and helpful information.
You can check the status of any of our servers on our connect page. You'll see a bar under each banner with 1 of 3 colors. Green(Online), Orange(Restarting), Red(Offline).
In the event of a crash, the server will automatically attempt to correct the issue and restart itself within 10 minutes. Although rare, sometimes it's unable to do so which then a technician will intervene to correct the issue manually.
Chances are, if the server you're trying to connect to is rejecting your connection, it's likely undergoing maintenance. Maintenance typically lasts about 5 minutes and happens a couple times a week, typically on Mondays and Thursdays.
If the server shows online and you're unable to connect there could be ongoing Steam issues or your local network connection is experiencing issues. You can check the status of Steam at https://steamstat.us/
Join our Discord to keep up to date on outages and maintenance.
Typically, servers update around 2 PM EST / 17:50 PM GMT / 18:50 BST on the first Thursday of each month. Unfortunately, we're at the mercy of Facepunch to release their updates within the scope they give us. You can follow #announcements in our Discord to track wipe day progress and to receive a notification when our servers have updated.
Our modded servers currently do not offer free teleports to key areas of the map; Stone Quarry, HQM Quarry, Sulfur Quarry, Bandit Camp, and Outpost.
Use our bug tracker to submit bug reports or any discrepancies you find while playing on our servers.
All of our servers are unique in their own way. You can find a list of features for each server by checking out our compare page.
This may happen if your base is too close to a monument, especially Giant Excavator. Another cause can be if you log out immediately after teleporting on our modded servers. Typically this isn't something an admin can help you with, in terms of recovering your items if your backpack has already despawned.
Gray satchels can be found where a base has significantly decayed or has been automatically purged owing to inactivity of the base builder. These satchels are fair game and free for all. Anything left inside any remaining structures, be it furnaces, boxes, or deployables of any sort are not and should be left alone.
On our modded servers, virtual loot instancing allows loot from the Bradley APC and Attack Helicopter server events to be instanced between players giving you your own instance of loot. Once the event is over, all qualifying players can loot each crate to access their own loot instance. The crate will remain visible until all eligible players have looted.
This enable players to freely participate in server events, including personal events called in via distress signals. To access loot boxes after an event, players must meet the following damage minimums:
Bradley APC: At least 20% damage to qualify for Bradley loot
Attack Helicopter: The top 5 players who dealt the most damage, and dealt at least 500, will qualify for loot.
If the event is called in via distress signals, the player who deployed the signal will always be able to loot the resulting crates.
An enclosed build is best, however its good practice to craft and deploy a Hitching post and Trough. Once placed, simply dismount at the trough (or lead the horse to it using the in-game interaction menu). The horse will remain at the hitching trough and can only be mounted by yourself or your teammates.
Be sure to keep the trough stocked with food for the horse!
Horses do not spawn in the wild; they can only be purchased at the Ranch/Stables monuments. Players will need 75 scrap to purchase a saddle from the stables merchant to claim one.
Any ban may be appealed in the Ban/Mute Appeals section of our website; however, we do not lift bans for language which has only one usage, that being purposefully racist or severely derogatory.
We have and will continue to maintain a zero tolerance for racism. As of April, 2021 we have updated our auto-ban filters to include slang and words that is often intended as derogatory, but may also have usage that is not purposefully racist. Only in this scenario will the appeal be considered and only if logs clearly indicate such. If accepted, the ban will be changed to a temporary ban and said player informed that the language used will not be tolerated in any context in our community. No chance to appeal a language ban in the future will be given, regardless of the context.
Your player history, behavior, and positive contributions and interactions within our PvE community is not considered in an appeal for racism or language bans.
Personal distress signals ("Apache Distress Signal" and "APC Distress Signal") allow players to call in an Attack Helicopter or Bradly APC to fight. Signals are purchased in the black market on our modded servers using in-game credits (Net worth).
When a player deploys the Apache Distress Signal, a server message will appear in global chat: Playername used a distress signal to intercept an attack helicopter. The attack helicopter will move to your location on the map. When a player deploys the APC Distress Signal, the Bradley APC will spawn at Launch Site.
The player who deployed the signal will always be able to loot the resulting crates. Up to four additional players who participate and meet the minimum damage threshold will also have their own instanced versions of loot crates.
These events are instanced to allow others on the server to participate while ensuring the signal owner will receive loot for their efforts. They are not designed for a single player or team to solo challenge.
If you are unwilling to allow other to participate, then consider using the signals during off-peak hours when there's fewer players online or not purchasing them at all. Admins will not be involved with disputes arising from who participates in these events.
Any ban may be appealed in the Ban/Mute Appeals section of our website. There is no format for appealing as we can easily pull up your account via your profile. To appeal, reply to your ban topic posted by the admin who committed the ban. If you were banned by our auto-ban, or a ban thread was not created, submit a new thread.
Sleepers are automatically killed after 20 minutes inside a safe zone (Bandit Camp, Barn, Fishing Village, and Outpost). This is an intended part of the game itself -- not a server modification. If you log out in a safe zone, you have to reconnect within that timeframe to move out of there. If you log out in a loot room, you are automatically killed when the loot respawns. The only safe place to log out is inside your own secured base!
An admin from your server will review appropriate server logs and ask you to provide additional details, if needed. An admin does not need to be logged in on the server to investigate a player report. If the report is valid the admin will take the following actions:
If no prior warnings are on the player's account, an admin will speak to the player privately to ensure they are aware of the rule and our expectation they follow it.
On a second occurrence, an in-game warning is issued. Players are unable to interact on the server until they indicate they understand and agree to the rule.
Each admin interaction and warning is logged and remains a permanent part of the player's profile. All staff has access to a player's history and will see any previous warnings (i.e. stealing, camping, political verbiage, disrespect...) on the account when handling player reports.
Formal actions (server mute, kick or ban) are taken when a player continues to break the rules, after they have been warned by an admin.
For serious offences (i.e. racism, harassment, sexism, or ongoing disruption of the servers) an immediate warning or ban is issued to the player and is applied across all RustEZ PvE community servers.
Players online at the same time as you are often trying to do the same things you are -- at the same time. While you may see them at a few of the same spots, it doesn't necessarily mean they are "hogging" the loot. This is especially true on servers during peak player hours.
Compromise is a big part of playing on a community server. Players are encouraged to jointly participate in events, share the loot, and be courteous to others who are simply trying to enjoy the game, the same as you.
If you feel that a player or team is unfairly hoarding monuments/events on your server (i.e., the players repeatedly prevent others from participating and looting), please send us a help ticket.
Camping is when a player, or their team, AFKs or idles in concentrated loot areas, and returns to active gameplay to take said loot when it spawns or respawns. Loot camping applies to monuments and timed server events, including Patrol Helicopter, Oil Rig, and Bradly APC.
Server Rule: No camping loot rooms, monuments, or any highly concentrated areas.
The EAC Temporary Server Ban is typically due to packet loss (i.e. connection timed out, authentication timed out, and excessive packet loss). This is a Temporary EasyAntiCheat (EAC) ban. It is not a ban we can remove on our end. Simply wait the required 15 minutes and reconnect to the server.
No. Our night times vary based on season and can be as short as 10 minutes and as long as 15 minutes. Day time is always twice as long as night in any given season.
Admins do not interfere with gameplay. When players die due to game mechanics (i.e. Scientists, minicopter crashes, Bradly APC) it's up to the player to locate their body using the in-game death marker on the map or the Revive option on the modded servers.
If a player disconnects or dies to a server issue, you can contact an admin on Discord. Post the details in #help and tag your server. If an admin is available they will assist. Keep in mind once the player backpack has despawned admins are unable to retrieve the items.
No, the level on your quarry will not be reset if you decide to move it (Survival servers only).
Steam has hundreds of servers that form it's authentication system and outages could vary based on region and location. This is why only a few players can be affected at once. Try restarting Steam. If that doesn't work give it 10 minutes before trying to reconnect to avoid a temporary EAC ban.
If a player is offline for more than 10 days, a system is deployed that checks all of their placed building components. If either component is attached to a foundation containing a tool cupboard, it will check the authorized list for active players. If there is at least 1 active player the system is disposed and nothing happens. If there aren't any active players, everything by that player is removed.
On our modded servers, type /skin in chat to open the skin shop menu. Click one of your items in the top right and select any skin shown to use (This also includes nearby). On our vanilla servers, you can apply any owned skin (from your steam inventory) to an item using a Repair Bench.
On our modded servers, open the container you wish to make public and click the "Share Container" button located at the bottom left of the container's loot panel. To remove public access, open the previously shared container and click the "Unshare" button.
On our vanilla and PvP servers, place the item in an unsecured way (i.e. no locks, placed outside your secured area) if you wish to allow public access.
A feature on our Survival and Scourge servers lets you collect mini and scrap helicopters using your salvaged hammer to redeploy later. View the video here.
You may add a message to be displayed on the sign and specify the fontsize, color, and bgcolor. Look at the sign you wish to display text on. In game chat, type /silt <message> [<fontsize: number>] [<color: hex value>] [<bgcolor: hex value>]. This is available on our Scourge and Survival servers. You can view the command on the server by typing /silt in chat.
Example: /silt "Welcome to the Community Centre" 20 #ff0000 #000000
Type /trade "player name" in game chat to open the trade window. Trade is available on our modded servers.
The killfeed is part of the RustEZ hud. To toggle the hud on or off type /hud in game chat.
You earn Net worth by logging in and playing on our Survival and Scourge servers. You will earn 100 credits per hour while on the server, plus earn 5 credits for each NPC kill - including Zombie kills on Scourge. You can also sell items on the black market ( type /shop in chat) to obtain credits. On Survival, you can loot credit rewards from crates.
Blueprints do not carry over. We wipe player blueprints on the monthly forced wipe.
The colored names you see in chat represent different roles within in the RustEZ community.
Blue: Community member
Orange: Community member, VIP role
Pink: Community member, Subscriber role
Green: Staff role
