Street Parking Space Savers- revisiting Snowmageddon 2010. Many people are experiencing more snow right now. So is it a Pittsburgh thing? You see all kinds of chairs reserving parking spaces all around the city after someone has shoveled out their space, planning to return to it, later.
I’ve seen a port-a-crib to reserve a parking space!

And here’s the update on our 2026 snow. Thursday the fourth day that school is cancelled.

Ice on the Ohio River

We got the 14” of snow predicted and it’s severe cold!

Schools closed again tomorrow. The mayor has declared a State of Emergency for Pittsburgh. Many plows are broken and streets aren’t able to be cleared.

Tug Boat on the Ohio River

This is a guest blog, photographed by my friend Debbie who lives on Neville Island, along the Ohio River. She texted me these pics. She and her husband Sy were enjoying their hot tub when this tug, breaking up ice, came by. So happy you shared these pics.

We Await the Storm

Up to 14” of snow predicted. Hasn’t started yet. I went down to our neighborhood market and bought a few items.
