Birthdays and backdating...

I officially win the worst mom of the year award...actually, it's only January 14th, so I'm sure I'll do something worse in the next 11 months...Isaac had a birthday a couple of weeks ago and the day came and went and I didn't post anything, I feel horrible!! Anyway, I decided to backdate his birthday post so I could have it in chronological order so please be sure to check the previous post!! For now, I'll leave you with some pics of my 28th birthday. My friend Lexie had us over to her house and we ate and partied! It was a fun night that followed an AMAZING morning at the spa sponsored by the best husband in the world!!! I am spoiled rotten, I have the best family and friends!!!

On January 3rd Isaac turned 5! I have to say, it's pretty weird having a 5 year-old...I'd like to think I'm not old enough to have a 5 year-old at least. But this boy just keeps growing and growing! We had family over as well as our friends, the Hogges and their 3 boys over for a low-key party. Isaac felt super special and loved every minute of being the center of attention for the night. That same day in the morning, he got to give his first talk in Primary. Abby also had her first day in Primary so it was a very eventful Sunday!

Our family got a Wii for Christmas and Isaac is ADDICTED. And I have to say, he is pretty good for a kid. He'll take any opponents, so if you're up for a challenge on MarioKart, give us a ring!

So needless to say, his party was filled with lots of Wii playing! I love my boy so much, he has such a tender heart and is wise beyond his years. It is a pleasure to watch him learn things everyday, and watch him teach me, his mom, a thing or two about life. Being a mom is great, but having amazing kids makes it incredible! We love you Isaac!
