We have had a great stay home spring break. I wish I had more pictures! I will add some more when I get a chance to still Elisabeth's iTouch for five minutes. The kids never stopped for the entire week, so here it is...
Friday...
Lunch at the mall with the VanT's, always entertaining. The evening brought yard work for all of us except Elisabeth who was off to Maddi's birthday party. She got to stay until 11:30pm and for the life of me I could not stay awake, so her dad had to be in charge of pickup, don't worry I had my chance to be "in charge" the next week.
Saturday...
Of course brought ballet and errands. Then us girls were off to the Pac12 Championship and the boys hung out and home. Miah got lots done including washing stinky Koda. Sam had Sean over and then Josh and Parker. The break was off to a fun and relaxing start.
Sunday...
Church and BYC and then dinner at Grandma Bonnie's, then a visit from Joe and Randi. And to finish off the night a family game of Mario Party (darn that Miah he beat Elisabeth right at the end) and the kids camped out on the aerobed and watched "The Muppets."

Monday...
The kids had the job of cleaning the basement and putting out their summer clothes sometime during the break, they decided to get it over with. Then we raced to clean up and meet the Rigby's for a movie. We saw "We Bought A Zoo," it was darling.

Grandma and Grandpa came over for tacos and then Elisabeth was off to swim with the Fetzers.
Tuesday...
The young women had plans to do early morning baptisms, and without school they had more time to work with. They had tried to get an appointment for the Salt Lake Temple in January and had been told they are booked for a year, but somehow they got a last minute appointment for spring break. Elisabeth had a wonderful time, and was really impressed with the beautiful Temple. Her first question was "now when was it built," it is pretty amazing to think about.

At noon we met up with Rigby's to jump on the Trax train and visit the new City Creek Center. It was fun to take Adrian on his first Trax ride, he was in awe. We found out though, that Trax is expensive! The new mall is beautiful. Elisabeth loved vising H&M and Forever 21. She also had to visit Tiffany Co. Sam had to go in the Rolex store, he is going to have one someday!

Elisabeth ran off to dance.
Sometime during the night before our kitchen faucet had broken, what a mess, so we had to stop by Home Depot and Lowe's, oh what fun. It took a lot longer to take out the old faucet then putting in the new one.
Sam was off to play football with the young men and his evening was only beginning. When he got home his friends came over for a sleepover. I am not a fan of sleepovers, and usually Miah is in charge, he has a theory that if he doesn't have to hear them, there is no problem. On this particular night the boys decided to sleep outside, with our make shift fire pit. Crazy me I thought at some point they would sleep, I was wrong! They burnt things and burnt things and burnt things and never slept. This is where my turn staying up came in, I didn't sleep much that night! Somehow the neighbors didn't report us and at 6 I think they slept until 7:30, then they made a huge breakfast mess!
So Sam knew he owed me big so he was a big help that morning, cleaning up what was mostly his mess! Elisabeth baby sat Lucas at our house, it was so fun to see him running around in Sam's knight costume I made years ago. And then she went off to babysitting job number two at the Harris'. She is a great babysitter, she actually plays with the kids! Sam went to my dad's and CRASHED on the couch, I don't think he moved for 4 hours.
That night we went four different directions. Sam and Jeremiah were off to Scouts, Elisabeth was off to a Beehive activity and I had school board regional meeting.

We all were home around 8:30pm and Jeremiah got to work on some stuff for his work, the kids were hanging out playing Little Big Planet... and then the door bell ditching began! Okay, not exactly door bell, since ours is broke, but knocking. We were pretty sure it was Sam's friends from the neighborhood, and when Sam's phone and our phone started ringing too the game was on! Elisabeth was determined to catch them and was using the peep hole they started tapping on the windows. Finally Jeremiah went outside and I watched from the front window, we spotted them at the same time and Jeremiah took off at a dead run after them! Haha, it was great fun. They all came back a few minutes later and hung out for bit, and made a Slurpee run. Once again, we have neighborhood boys making late night stops at our house.

Thursday...
Elisabeth has a friend Kylie who's dad and grandma live in our ward, she has started coming to Young Women's regularly since January when she turned 12. She was looking forward to her first time doing baptisms for the dead, but slept too late on Tuesday. Her grandma wanted her to have the chance so they invited Elisabeth to go and they had a lovely afternoon. Elisabeth loved that she was able to eat in the Temple cafeteria, yummy. And they also saw the beautiful flowers and a bride and groom. I love how much she is enjoying Young Women's, and that she is being so great including Kylie and it is wonderful how much she loves going to the temple.
Sam went with me and Grandma for a yummy lunch at Culvers, straight from Wisconsin! And then was off to hit a bucket of balls with Blake. Oh how I enjoy the boys in our ward, and that is actually sincere.

Elisabeth once again had ballet and Sam had guitar.
Friday...
Sam and Blake hit another bucket of balls, golfing is going to cost that kid a lot this summer!
Then it was onto a Scout over nighter, where I choose not to think about what he does!

Elisabeth and I had lunch with Lisa and Andie. And then she headed over to help Grandma and Grandpa in the yard, while I started ours.
Elisabeth had to be all the way to Riverton for a birthday party, so we decided to stay out there and have a date night. Haha, that mean Zuppa's, Home Depot and Walmart! Wahoo!
Saturday...
Yard Day! Elisabeth of course had ballet, but Sam was soon home. We got our lawn mowed, and my parents too. We edged, weeded, moved edging, sprayed for spiders, cleaned off the patio, and weeded some more. And then while I weeded the front, the kids relaxed in the sun, they have figured out the wifi works outside, so they can be outside and still have their gadgets.

Then Joey called, it was time to build the long awaited fire pit! Oh boy, Joey is at the top of the uncle list! We figured out a way to build it with the pavers we already had and a couple bags of quick cement. It works out that we moved the pavers I have wanted to straigten out for 2 years to the fire pit, and put in the circles that have been sitting around, pretty tricky how I got that done. So the fire pit is HUGE, and is all cemented in and not going anywhere. I guess we will landscape around it. Next weekend we are going to christen it with tinfoil dinners and s'mores with Joe and Randi. Thanks Uncle Joe.

Sam, Jeremiah and Grandpa Craig attended Priesthood session tonight. Elisabeth went babysitting with her friend Hayden and I got a few minutes of down time to blog! It's been a busy one, filled with fun. And sometime in there I got ready for my 12 and final book fair! Who says you need to go out of town or have big plans to have a great spring break.
