First Dance...

So Sam has these three awesome friends, Josh, Brandon and Blake, these are the type of friends you have for life.  They are all older then Sam but for whatever unknown reason they all just click, they get each other, they watch out for each other, they snuggle on the couch together. :/ Brandon and Josh are off serving missions for our church and Blake will be gone two this summer or fall. And then Sam will be so the lone wolf for 9 months or so.  And this makes him very, very sad!  Sam also has his "Big Bang Theory" friends, let's face it their geeks, almost zero social skills.  Sam says they make him look cool, which they do.  Well, were not really sure if this second bunch will ever put together a group for a dance, and if they do they will have no idea what to do.  So Blake and I talked and decided that Sam should go to at least one dance with Blake and their other senior friends.  Ya, Sam is not 16 until May, but this was a chance for these very social boys to show him the ropes at a very casual dance.  Now who to ask?  Who better then a friend, a great neighborhood friend, Jillian Brinton.  Yay!  Jilly is the best, she a great friend to both of my kids.  Blake felt out the situation and Jillian said she's love to go.  So last Thursday night they went to "ask" her.  They put a "mountain" of snow on her truck with a sign that read, "I would climb a mountain to go to MOS with you!" (Men of Sparta!)  Sam's name was on the back of the poster rather then under the snow.  They were busted by her big brother, aka Jason the Deacon Killer, but he loved it and sent Jill out to find it.  The next morning she put the sweetest message on Instagram, and Sam wondered what to say to her?  We told him to act normal, haha, but Jill did act normal and introduced Sam and told them he had asked her, to Sam's relief.  Now the boys are off planning the day and Sam is awaiting her officially answering.

Fish On!

First time out ice fishing for the year and the boys were not fish. Sam hooked four, but it took until the fourth try before he figured out how to maneuver the fish out of the hole.

Elisabeth LOVES her sparkly girlie tree!  She bought the tree herself last year and has bought most of the decoration herself.

We had just changed up our bedroom so we changed up our tree too, this year we had a small tree with the crystal decorations from our front room tree we don't have room for anymore.

The 29th...

On December 29th we celebrated the holidays with the Rigby cousins and we finally got to celebrate Adrians 4th birthday.  My cousins have all little kids and it was really different having a house full of little kids instead of all our teenagers! We also cheered on our Packers to a victory over the Bears sending them to the playoffs!  Go Pack Go!!!

Jeremiah got his Christmas wish and got the whole family out snowshoeing.  It as nice to get above the inversion and be in our beautiful mountains.  We hiked up to the cave at Donut Falls, followed by a cousin breakfast of ebelskivers at Beckys.
