Packers Move On...

After a somewhat stressful first half the Packers pulled it together to beat the Cowboy 26-21. They move on next week to the conference championship versus the Seahawks. The kids were so happy to celebrate the win, but Elisabeth "almost had kittens" when the game was intense in the end.

Matt...

We are so lucky to become friends with Matt Kauer, he has the biggest heart ever found in an 18 year old body. He is such a hard worker and loyal friends, he's polite, fun and a little (maybe a lot) irreverant. As he planned to go on his mission he worried about not being great with the scriptures and I keep telling him to "kill them with kindness." I am sure the people of Richmond, Virgina will be able to feel the spirit through the love he will show them.

Here's what I wrote in my email to Blake, letting him know how it went:

So your friend Matt completely killed his talk today! Seriously, it was the most spiritual, raw and honest talk ever. He talked about how the atonement made it possible for him to come back to church and serve a mission. Through Christ he has a second chance! Amazing! He also talked about the plan of salvation and how it gave us agency and that we each came to earth with no memory of our Heavenly Father but with gifts from him. One of the gifts he talked about is angels and you boys had been angels in his life. Amazing!!!
