Ouch dude!

Image
Most of you guys have probaby heard by now that Andrew broke his leg when some huge polynesian kid tackled him in football. Right on his Femur, ouch! just look at that cast!! He actually got sick for a while too but he's feeling alot better now and finally got to school last week, but for the rest of the time he has pretty much taken over my moms room and he play's the Wii all day. Every day he gets people bringing him candy and movies and stuff. Its pretty funny to watch. Hopefully he'll be fine soon but for now I really dont think he minds all the attention. (and candy) feel better Bud!Image

Happy Birthday to Johnny!

September 11th was John's 3rd birthday. He was so excited and loved every minute of it. Besides getting his new "big boy pants", we celebrated by taking a trip to Skywest where daddy works, to see the airplanes: every 3 year old boys dream.

Dad helped John start the engines and push all the buttons on the plane, he just beamed the whole time.

Lake Powell

Sorry Its been so long sinced we last posted, and sorry you have to hear from me (Emily) again! Stuff has been really busy around our house, with school getting started, Football, dance, and so much more, but we promise to try our hardest to post more often. Recently, I discovered the many wonders of Smilebox, they're so easy and fun to do, and they look really cute. So, I made one for all of you all about our trip to Lake Powell, just to show you how cute they can be!

Splash park fun

Mom is a little bit busy today so this is our afternoon adventure from my(emily) point of view, (im not an expert blogger so forgive me!).

Yesterday we went to a splash park with our friends the Driggs. It was a small cheapish kind of place and much to my mother's dismay there was hardly any shade or place to sit except the grass, but we still had a great time, which in my case meant splashing Andrewover the head with a cooler full of water...

Andrew and his friend Grace
Image Victoria with her friend Bella and her little sister Audrey. It took just about all we had to get them to hold still for this picture.

Image This is me, notice the cup full of water in my hand. With some help from Andrew we took these McDonalds cups from the people picknicking next to us and used them to splash eachother in our huge water-fight. Kinda gross, huh?

Image Johnny loved running through the "sprink'er" even though he was a little nervous to get wet at first. Image
Image I guess you could say that this was our "last Hoorah" before summer's over and school starts again but it sure was a great way to end it- spending time with friends.

63 things to do with your children before they grow up

Emily asked me if I wanted to post any lists on our blog. "Like how many cars we have on our driveway, or how many loads of laundry I do in a week?" "No!, she said, like Kathryn has a list of 63 things to do with your children before they grow up." "Read it to me and lets see how many we've done." She replied, "I already read it and we've only done about 2." So since I am a complete failure as far as Kathryn's list I decided to make my own.
1. Take your children to England for Christmas
2. Go to Lagoon
3. Participate in the Nauvoo Pageant 2 years, once when you are 7 months pregnant and once when your have a 9 month old baby.

21. Let your children perform in "Savior of the World"
22. Take them sleding at Sugarhouse park
23.Take them to Seven Peaks
24. Go to Las Vegas (try to do this one as often as possible)

39. Play baseball in your kitchen
40.Go for walks together on a summer night
41. Read scriptures together
42. Watch movies together on Mom's bed
43. Play board games ( you get more points for Candyland)
44. Let your kids sleep in your bed (one time is enough to fullfill this requirement unless it's the youngest and then it has to be a permanant situation)
45.Go on a train ride
46. Go shopping at Hambly's the largest toy store in the world
47. Spend the night at the Hillam's cabin in Sundance
48. Send them to a prophet's funreal i.e. Gordon B. Hinckley
49. Go to the School Carnival
50. Spend the Fourth of July in Provo Utah
51. Watch Fireworks
52. Be in the Children's Parade in Provo the week before the 4th of July
53.Visit Liberty Jail, Kirkland Ohio, and Carthage Jail
54.Watch movies on your neighbors front lawn in the summer
55. Read together
56. Take them to see Santa
57. Go to the Festival of Trees
58. Make them Halloween costumes and take them to Grandma's to trick-or-treat because you get more candy there.
59. Go to Grandma Done's Easter Egg Hunt
60. Teach them how to pray
61.Take them to the "Stuffed Animal Museum" ( also known a the Bean Museum at BYU)
62. Go on a Merry-Go-Round
63. Take them on an airplane anywhere they want to go just because you can

You really ought to try making your own list of things to do before your children grow-up it is much more fullfilling to have already completed the list than to have only done 2.

The Pipes are bloggers!

Kathryn Ellison set up our blog for us so I guess I better take advantage of her hard work and add a post. Emily put the pictures on so between Emily and Kathryn we should stay updated. We are on our way to Las Vegas and Lake Powell this coming week. Betsey and I are going to attempt to make Kendall's wedding dress. I just hope Kendall likes what we pick out for her!
My friend Trudy told me I had better not come home from Lake Powell unless I get up on skis. So watch for some fantastic pictures of me at Powell. We have had a busy summer and it is quickly coming to an end. The fall should prove to be just as busy with Emily finally getting to go to the dance studio she wants to to improve her Irish dancing, Andrew is starting his football season, and Victoria is still working on her processing or more correctly I am still working on Victoria's processing. John just follows us all around trying to get someone to play baseball with him.
