I can't believe Kenya is 12.. She is so grown up and beautiful, I sometimes look at her and wonder where the time has gone. She is so talented and a good friend. She loves basketball and school and hanging out with her brothers and sisters. She is such a sweetheart, we thought it would be fun to take her best friend Tayvia and Hannah (her sister) and Hannahs best friend Kiana who happens to be Tayvias sister and their Mom Julie to vegas for Kenyas birthday. We checked them out of school on friday around noon and drove down. We stayed at the Venettian which was beautiful. We went shopping and to a movie and out to dinner.. Then on Saturday we went shopping all day.. It was sure fun hanging out with just the girls.. We had a great time! Haapy Birthday Kenya

It is so hard when I haven't blogged forever and I have to catch up. I like the saying that we shouldn't look back we should look forward. I can't even wrap my mind around everything that has happened since Zaks court date.. We have been busy as usual and the kids are doing good. Skylar has been a great Student Body Pres. he has gotten all the student body really involved especially at the basketball games. He tried out for the high school soccer team and made the team as Goaly (not sure how to spell that). We were very surprised, as he has never played soccer before.. He is working hard in school and got accepted at B.Y.U and B.Y.U.H.. After much thought he has decided to play golf back in the islands of Hawaii.. He is very excited! and I am too- It gives me reason to go over and visit. I am really proud of him. He is going to wait and leave on his mission after golf season.

Hunter does more homework than anyone I know.. He takes 3 A.P. classes and keeps a 4.0, He volunteers at the hospital and plays on the high school tennis team. His schedule makes me tired- He is such a hardworker and a great kid, he helps me out so much. When I have a hard day he makes me rice krispie squares and that always puts a smile on my face... He was on Junior Prom Royalty this year... Way to go Hunter!!

The two of them went to Junior Prom together.. I was lucky enough to do dinner at our home and I was so happy that they went in the same group, it sure made it easy..

Our son Zackary's adoption is final..YEAH!
His adoption as well as any adoption is always full of ups and downs. It has been along road, you can read our adoption timeline
on the side. But, when you find your child, or they find you, Everything else seems to not matter. That is how we have felt about both Emma and Zak. We could never imagine our life without these two sweet children. They have added so much to our family and in some ways brought us closer together. They brighten our day !!! We were able to go to court to finalize Zak's adoption and then we Sealed and Blessed him the next week so, that friends and family could all come down and enjoy the weekend with us. We have such great friends and family that have been a huge support to us. Not only through our two adoptions but, with everything that we do.. Their is something about the words, "He is Yours". That has a new meaning in adoption-
Everyone came down friday.. We sealed him Saturday afternoon and then had a fun Barbeque Saturday night and then Blessed him Sunday. The pictures are random from the weekend, and we had professional photos taken at the Temple that we don't have yet.. Enjoy!!

I DO love decorating for halloween and all the planning and parties that surround it. But, I am always happy when it is over- I am ready to un-decorate the house and box away everything. Maybe that is a good sign of a great Halloween. We had our Ward Trunk or Treat. The kids dressed up as one thing for that and then on Halloween they dressed as something else. We had the school parade and then football games in the morning of halloween and then we went to The Hatch's for dinner and trick or treating. I lost my 6 year old Luke trick or treating. He had seen some of his friends from school and thought that they would be way more fun. Skylar and Hunter went to Sadies. ( I am trying to get a photo of Hunter and his date Ellie Gunderson).. What a fun night we had, I loved having it on a saturday. Way more relaxing!! We hope all of you had a safe and happy halloween as well-
