My own winter wonderland - at least the snow here is pretty in my back yard, even if it is unwanted.

She is getting so big she can sit up, but this only lasts a few seconds because she likes to rock herself.

New Place

Image
A little bit of catch up. So we are thrilled to be in Vernal! After A couple of weeks making sure everything was sorted out and doing all the inventory on the vending machines. I was able to move up to be with my husband. And over a month later I am still deciding on where every thing goes and trying to find things. On the note of finding things... A huge thanks to all those who helped me get stuff done. But to those who decided to keep stuff, or steal it out of my house, at least you gave it back. Braden and Matt tried to play a little joke on us and keep our Settlers game. Braden was a little disappointed when we had only noticed it gone the night before Thanksgiving, many weeks later.
Adam loves his new job other than the extremely long hours, he goes to work at 6 am and comes home at 6 pm and does this six days a week. But we do have Sunday together that is good. I dont think Chez likes Vernal much though, in Moab she would sleep through the night. But now she gets up about every 3 hours. So if anyone has any ideas on how to get a baby to sleep let me know because I have never had to get up with her more than maybe once a night except in the hospital.
Our condo seems quite large to me after our last place. It has three bedrooms and one and a half baths and an unfishined basement. We are planning to fix up the basement so I can do a small daycare down there. Hopefully then I will have something productive to do with my time. Right now it is just me and Cheznie hanging out.
The above picture is of my bald family. Adam shaved his head for his mom and grew out his beard because of the cold in Vernal. So this is how he looked for a while, but as the hair on his head grew in he grew tired of the extra hair and shaved his beard.
I will now sum up things with the following pictures

We went to a corn maze with Jared and Christy. It was a lot of fun. They had a house of corn, it was about a foot deep. Cheznie would not sit in it and let me take her picture though. Adam got to shoot pumpkins and corn

Chez was a fairy princess for Halloween and was darn cute. We only went to see Jared and Christy but it was still fun dressing her up. The next picture is a costume that Christy had and she was cute in it but I found the fairy wings for $5 and we had everything else. So I could not resist.

Just cute pictures. The one on the right is a fish she love and here she was smooching with it. Then below is starting to eat cereal. She is not very fond of it and the whole eating thing has gone down hill. She sort of liked it at first and was catching on, now I can't get her to even try it.

Addiction

So Cheznie is a very fun baby. Everyone seems to find something different that she likes. My mom and Adam find a lot of movement keeps her happy. I have found the swing is one of her favorites and a must at our house. The binkie is also very important in our lives!

But Adam and I have found the best thing and Cheznie is addicted to it. I saw this mobile online and it was kind of expensive ($30 for a mobile is a bit much for us) but I loved it so much that we budgeted for it and I finally ordered it. It is like a regular mobile with the canopy and music but it will shine a moving picture on the ceiling also. So when we first introduced this to Cheznie she watched it for quite a while and just smiled and cooed. But the wonderful thing about this is that it has continued to be a favorite for her. She loves to watch the animals go around and talks to them and smiles. It is the best investment we have made yet I think.
Now here is some fun stuff we have been doing lately. For everyones birthdays this year my parents took everyone to Lagoon. We like to go when it has Frightmares because of all the haunted houses. It was tons of fun and the lines were not all that long. Except the night before I sprained my ankle at my brothers house. The porch step is a little dangerous if your not paying attention! But I could walk on it and it just hurt when using stairs and it was quite swollen for a few days. So the night before going to Lagoon is not a good time to hurt yourself.
The picture below shows us standing in the longest line all day and it was for the train(the only thing Cheznie could ride). My mom and dad dont really ride too many things and so they watched the babies and children as needed. The Frightmare things were a little trickier.  Mom was off with Payton and Crystal while the rest of us tried to go through the haunted houses but not to have to take the babies in. So we would all stand in line, the strollers included, then when we got to the front a couple of people would stay and the rest would go in. Then we would come out and switch with hopefully the person able to go in right away. We went up until the park closed and then went out and had sandwiches at the car. I think Adam and I were one of the very last people to leave the parking lot.
Also pictured below is Stacy taking both babies so the rest of us could go on Rattlesnake Rapids and get completely soaked! Thanks everyone for the fun and helping to watch Cheznie.

This is Cheznie with her new cousin Quinn. She is 2 1/2 months older than her and looks so big compared to her. But then again Cheznie was never that small.

Now for some sad news! We will be moving to Vernal, Adam got a job up there and he actually is starting that today. I will be in Moab for a few more weeks until we get an apartment and I get everything else squared away. It was so sad to see Adam leave yesterday and since he could be working 6 days a week I am not really sure how often he will be able to come home. I will go up as often as I can but I watch a little boy a couple of days a week and we still have vending machines for a little while longer. But I am excited for this new adventure and a little better job.

So long Louey and Tuke

We have some sad news, last weekend while we were at the Holyoak Reunion we had our fish commit suicide. That might sound weird, but we had a plecostomus that my old boss gave to us about a year ago, that was as tall as our fish tank. His son told us his name was Two but Adam misunderstood and so he was named Tuke. What they did not tell us about this huge fish is that he liked to jump. He would scare me at night thinking some one was trying to get in our house until we figured out that it was this huge fish jumping and hitting the lid of the tank. One time he even knocked down part of the light from his jumping. Well anyway while we were gone he jumped though the hole where the filter is and landed behind our TV. It was pretty funny the day after we got home and I noticed he was not in the tank. Adam was sure someone had stolen him (and left everything else?). So after a bit of looking we found him dried up behind the TV (i guess it was quite warm back there).
Now on to Louey... along with Tuke my boss had given us 3 other fish that we named Huey, Dewy, and Louey. Adam told me he had died, so I went over to the tank to look at him and he was still breathing. So we left him to see if he would perk up. We would see him swim and eat a little but I couldn't decide if he would get better or if we should just put him out of his misery. About a week of this on the day we found Tuke I finally decided to let him go. Adam scooped him up in the net and went to flush him. While trying to get him out of the net he shook it and Louey hit the side of the toilet. After two fish gone in one day I am a little bit done with our fish.
On to happier things in the middle of the reunion Cheznie was blessed and given a name. Adam gave a beautiful blessing and she had a lot of people who love her in the circle. Thanks to everyone who was able to be here for it. I love that Adam is so wonderful and holds the Priesthood so he can bless our family with it.

That evening we went to the mountain for the traditional Brothers Dinner part of the reunion. I love going up to our cabin and having so much family around. We ate, visited, played and worked together and then had to come home back to our normal lives. But it was so much fun while it lasted.

Scow Reunion

ImageImage  Cheznie had her first trip to the Cabin this last week. It was the Scow reunion Thursday thru Saturday, so Adam took off Wednesday and we headed up to the mountain Tuesday night. My Parents were there until Wednesday night and so we spent time with them and played games. Then Adam's family showed up on Thursday. We visited, played games, went on the 4-wheelers, and ate lots! It was so much fun. Other than Al and Anna Marie and two of Holly's friends we all stayed in our cabin. It was the most people we have ever had sleep there at once (32 people), but it turned out really good. All the adults had beds and a couple of the big kids and the children had a huge slumber party on the floor.

ImageAdam made sure that there was a good fire pit for everyone. Then my husband who loves fire so much stayed out there for over an hour even though no one really stayed out there with him for very long. But him and Jacob sat out there singing camp songs. ImageImage

On Friday it was Cheznie's 1 month birthday, it is amazing that a month has gone by so fast already. Adam and I were getting ready to go on a 4-wheeler ride, but Cheznie was not letting us go by ourselves and leave her with someone  at the cabin. So we decided to take her with us and she loved it, the only time she cried was when we stopped. The next day we went for  a walk up to blue lake. Because of the moisture we have been having there were tons of pretty flowers and I made my family get a picture taken in them.
ImageImage
We had so much fun and everyone loved Cheznie so much and spoiled her by holding her so much. But that actually affected her opposite from what you might think. She would cry until we put her down by her self for a while. Then on saturday night she slept for 8 hours because she was so worn out. When we got home from the cabin we all needed to clean up. After Adam and I showered we bathed Cheznie in her new bath tub. I hope Carson likes it, I know he wanted to get it for us. Megan gave us one she got from a yard sale but it didn't really hold water so we decided to get this fun one. So Lindsay and Carson should come visit us, to give Cheznie a bath in her fun tub.
