Too good to be true!

I'm not only going to put Amy's blog candy on my sidebar, but share it with ya'll.

Check this out!

FROM AMY'S BLOG - A THOUSAND SHEETS OF PAPER ...

Remember last year when I kept track of how many different sheets of paper I cut into as I crafted, then celebrated reaching 1000 sheets along with my blog-o-versary with some super special candy? Well... I did it again and this year not only did I miss my July 16th blog-o-versary date, it also took me a couple weeks longer to reach the 1000 sheet milestone. What can I say? I must have been playing more with scraps. ;)

But we are here now and I am so excited to share my paper crafting craziness with all of you for a second year in a row, LOL!

Because I'm in the mood to celebrate (and clear out some paper) I've got A THOUSAND 6x6 sheets of paper that I'm giving away! Wanna see what 1000 sheets of paper looks like? Take a look-see...

Image

That's a lot of paper, huh? Perhaps just a bit much to send all to one person, so I'm breaking it apart into five candies of 200 sheets each. And the fun doesn't stop there! I couldn't celebrate another wonderful, exciting, fantabulous and simply amazing year of stamping and blogging without throwing some stamps into the mix as well! So I have collected stamps from some of my most favorite companies into one MEGA CANDY!

Wanna know what all is included? There is:

•Tickled Pink Lil Steampunk Lilith and others

•Kraftin Kimmie Clarabelle, sentiments and others

•The Emerald Fairies Larakins

•Some Odd Girl Balloon Kaylee and Mooey

•My Favorite Things Pure Innocence Book in Hand

•The Craft's Meow Frieda stamps

•Stamping Bella Arthur and Annie

•Unity/Bella Blvd house

•The Greeting Farm Wild Sprouts that I designed (Stella, Ruby, Chelsea and Gigi)

•CC Designs Birthday Gretel

•and a Sweet November stamp from each release of this past year (Raspberry Flitter Friend, Briar and Sonata, Princess Isadora, Splash and Wave, Penelope and Juniper, Gemini, Darby and Dazzle, Milk and Cookies Christmas boy, Neva snowflake fairy, Fairwee Josie, jar and sentiments)

Wondering what you need to do for a chance to win all of these plus some yummy paper? Well, because this is pretty big and I'm pretty excited about it, I really want to spread the word sooooo... in order to be eligible to win the grand prize you have to post about the 1000 sheets blog candy on your own blog (feel free to right click and use the paper photo above), linking directly back to this post. Once you've done that, just leave a comment here and you will be entered... easy peasy! Like always, I will ship anywhere so all are welcome to play! :)

I will leave this candy open through Friday, September 23rd then random generator will pick a winner and I will announce on Saturday, September 24th.

GO...Check it out now!!!

Back to Basics

I'm realizing I'm more of a basic card maker using Pink Petticoat paper and letting my picture of Hawaiian Tilda shine.  I colored this card so long ago that I can't remember the Copics I used.  I wish I knew, because I love this combination.  Now that I've purchased so many papers, I have to figure out, do I sell them??  Maybe I could use one print with the basics.  Something I'm definitely have to consider.
Image

I bought a photo light box, and I'm not sure if the pictures are more vivid then the old way I took pictures?  Hmmm...I'm sure it's the photographer.

Red, White, and Blue Challenges

Happy 4th of July Ya'll!!

Texans know how to celebrate the 4th of July, and I hope everybody is celebrating as well.

Image
It's great to get into your old stash and find all this old papers that are perfect for the Red, White and Blue Chalenges.  Making the card was very easy, but I took many hours to Copic color Tilda.   Isn't Spring Tilda so cute with her gorgeous blue dress?  You can see she is so happy to be celebrating the 4th of July.  I bought Marshmallow Glitter Mist, a must according to Bev.  She told me to buy 6 just so I didn't run out and that I did, I LOVE IT!!  I put tons of it on, I hope I caught the shimmer!!

Ladies, as we all know we love to share our passion for cardmaking and Copics. I stopped sharing my work back in December 2010, because my EX was stalking my blog. We divorced over 20 years, so he should get over it!! He's been stalking myself for years. We were both admonished by WI courts, a couple years ago, to stop the communication between the both of  us.  I have had no communication with him and will not.  Yet, he continues to stalk my blog. I've only had it open for the past month and lo, and behold, he's back!  Continuing my wonderful life, and I wish he would do the same. Thanks for listening to my ugly situation.

Ok..I used the computer designed star border with my last card, but gee, it's too dang cute!

Fairy Tilda - may all your wishes come true

What more can I say, but a very clean and simple card of Fairy Tilda Magnolia.  The sentiment reads "may all your wishes come true".  I used silver foil papers, Nellie Snellen die, and silver metallic cardstock, CAS!

Ok, I've decided it is time to get a Light Box to take better pictures.  I wanted to catch all the glitter, and metallic foil of the papers.  I tried :)

LOTV Challenge 101 - Bring on the Music

I couldn't resist this challenge, so I put my thoughts together for the LOTV Challenge for Bringing in the Music.  I fell in love the minute I heard this song from John Anderson.  I hope ya'll think the same after hearing it also.

Here is my card.  I wish I wrote down all the Copics I used, but I got carried away and kept grabbing more Copics.  This is a card format from Clip Art Fairy.

I had to put the video on my blog for those who aren't familiar with the song.

I have the lyrics in my card, but hard to read through a photograph.  If you feel like singing a long, here are the lyrics!  LOL

There's a little girl in our neighborhood,
her name is Charlotte Johnson and she's really lookin' good.
I had to go and see her, so I called her on the phone.
I walked over to her house and this was going on:

Her brother was on the sofa, eatin' chocolate pie,
her Mama was in the kitchen cuttin' chicken up to fry.
Her daddy was in the backyard rollin' up a garden hose,
I was on the porch with Charlotte, feelin' love down to my toes...

and we were Swingin', yes we were Swingin'...

Little Charlotte she's as pretty as the angels when they sing,
I can't believe I'm out here on her front porch in this swing,
just-a-swingin',

Yeah, and we'll be swingin, yes, we'll be swinging.
Little Charlotte she's as pretty as the angels when they sing,
I can't believe I'm out here on the front porch in the swing,
just-a-swingin'.

Now Charlotte she's the darlin', she's the apple of my eye,
and when I'm on the swing with her it makes me almost high.
And Charlotte is my lover and she has been since the spring,
I just can't believe it started on her front porch in this swing.

Just a swingin, well just a swingin',
Little Charlotte she's as pretty as the angels when they sing,
I can't believe I'm out here on the front porch in the swing,
just-a-swingin'.

I said, Little Charlotte she's as pretty as the angels when they sing,
I can't believe I'm out here on her front porch in the swing,
just-a-swingin'.

Is Cryogen White really white???

I just ordered Cryogen White paper from Icopic.  To me, it seems like a more ivory, cream, vanilla in color rather than a whisper white.

Check out this pic and tell me if I received the wrong paper?  One paper is Xpress-it...wanna guess?  LOL

Snowy Hug (I need one right now)

Welcome,

Ten days ago I started on a journey.  A journey I had no idea would take on all different aspects of cardmaking in my life.  I began by coloring Tilda with the awesome Snowy.  Coloring was going well, and I even added some great shading with my Prismacolor pencils.  I have to actually admit, I was very proud of it.  The journey continues by starting to make the card to put this baby on.  After shopping at Michael's and coming home with several Martha Stewart ATP punches, because I knew I wanted my card to have this beautiful border.  After several tries, who ever said this was going to so easy?  Wrong.   Just the slightest of cutting a 6" border took me another two days to figure out how to get a CLEAN cut.  Well, after setting it down for a day, and thinking about it again, it was time to pick it up.  One last try...this is the best of all of them.  Now Snowy Hug was on a piece of square paper.  After looking at the design...I needed rounded edges, not a perfect square (at least in my mind).  So, off to round off all the edges.  Looking ok...doing fine. Ok, it's time to tweek the page and decide where is this going to go.   OMG...my papers from Bo Bunny show up in the mail.   Now, I have to use these papers.  Plan changes again.  OH, I have to use that piece of paper with the snowflake in the corner.  A little measuring and it will be great looking on the page.  What...I didn't measure it right?  Go figure.   It'll work..don't worry.  (At least that's what Papa says.)  I think I'm going to have to cut down the square that Tilda and Snowy are sitting on.  Yeah...I'll use my nestabilities.  Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, not that one!!!!   Well, there went part of her hat.  Ok...another decision had to be made...cut around the image.  Wait, I really took my time and had a great shadow going around the image.  Cut the image, entirely, or leave a little shade.  The little shade won.  Let's get out my new Jolee I-Rock Hot Iron for Jewels.  Maybe a good idea if you didn't have such shaky hands as myself.  I can put down those little Crystalllized Swarovski Jewels...no problem.  YEAH RIGHT..why is it sticking to me and not the paper.  Yes, I had to use more around the flourished dots on the page....and little more here and there.  What day is it now...who knows?  Snowflakes, I need snowflakes, but what do I have?  Let's see, MS punch, Cuttlebug Snow Wonders, Cuttlebug smaller ones, Cricut ones...you got the picture.  Too many for this mind to figure out.  Just pick up a few Sheila and use them!!  Oh, but wouldn't be nice to see the jewels with a blue tint.  Perfect, I'll color them with my E97 Copic.  Hey, that turned out pretty good.  Think it might look better if I add some silver end caps.  Now I'm thinking...that actually turned out like it should.  Oh...don't even get me started on using Liquid Applique (white) and Polar White Snow.   And then I went crazy on the Diamond Dust and Stickles.  Cut out the sentiment and you're done!!!  Wow, my card is done and PERFECT in my EYES :)

Here it is to share:

I better find some Challenges...because it definitely Challenged me!!  LOL
Hope you enjoyed my story, or decided OMG this woman needs help!  LOL  Come on...why won't you download my pictures.....uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Granny's Big Hat

Well...I'm back!!   It's been so long that I haven't looked my blog...and now am wondering what happened to all of my pictures.  Weird....I'm going to have to try fixing it.  OMG....ALL OF MY PICTURES ARE GONE.  I would like to show my projects and cards....so I guess I have a PROJECT for today. OH MY!  Has this happened to anyone else?

I have been crafting, but just haven't posted my projects.  But, I came across this Phindy's Place Challenge, and I've been wanting to color this little girl with granny's hot for some time now.  What a great opportunity.
This week they have a great sketch from a DT member Anne-Marije to follow; and I just had to be sure to use a Phindy's Place image when I used the sketch.

Image
This is the sketch..,

I was enjoying being outside today...so that's why you'll see so many pictures.   hehehe  Gotta love Texas.  It's going to be almost 80 today...

For this card I used Phindy's Grandma's Big Hat.

My little girl was colored with my Copics, but I decided to give my Prismacolor pencils a try.  I've always wanted to get a deeper shade and had been watching tutorials.  PROBABLY..way to many tutorials.  Well, I'm pleased how she turned out.  I know next time what to fix and work on.  I still had fun trying.

Now, it's going to take a little bit of work to figure out what Copics I used.  I was being a good girl (wink), and put them away after coloring.  Good for me, not so good for you.  Sorry :(

I did use a lot of stuff from my stash which makes me feel super!  About time!

AFTER POST:  I just remember I used X-press paper.  AWESOME Paper...you do have to get use to it.  I also used Viva Decor Ink White Pearls.  That's it...I think.
K&Co Bailey Paper
Bazzill White Paper
Irridescent White Paper (Scalloped Magnolia Border)
Stampin Up paper
Nellie Snellen Punch
Craft Companion Sentiment (I think that's what it's called.)
Nestabilities (Circle and Scallop)
Prima Flower
Silver Flower Embellishments (wow, it's been a long time since I've used these, I'm for a lost here too, OH MY)
Flowers from Stash
Punch leaves
Diamond Stickles
Butterfly from Ebay
Copics
Prismacolor Pencils (mainly French Grey 70% and Cool Grey 90%)
Grass - Stamp, Wasabi, Garden Green, and Sage Shadow Inks

Thanks so much for looking!

This is specifically for Phindy's Place Challenge, but I would love to find others I can place it in.

Bear Scrap Challenge - Anything Goes

Thanks again!

Who stole my card????

Maybe this is the reason why it takes me so long to make a card.  Have you ever lost the card you are actually working on?  Well, I managed to do that.  I was just about to finish it up with the flat bottom of this easel card.  I had just figured out what sentiment I was going to use and was just going to get my NEW Bow Easy to finish up the card.  I think I'm learning a lesson here.  Ok, when you purchase items (confession, way to many this month), put them away in appropriate spots.  No, they don't belong in your bedroom, living room, dining room, but just your scrapbook room.  And don't pile up all your belongings thinking, oh, I'll remember where I put my New Bow Easy.  I'm getting older!!!!   This card definitely took much longer than it should have.  After 2 hours of searching, I found my the Bow Easy, but still couldn't find the card.  I finally did another search of my bedroom and underneath some of my belongings in my bedroom, MY CARD!!!  I'm worn out just from looking.

Well, I colored Romantic Tilda so long ago, I'm going to have to try my best to remember Copic colors and other items I used..  Although, I did basically color Tilda like one of Mary Giemza's  (what a totally talented lady) Tilda.  I would also like to give credit to another very talented woman, Andrea Ewen for her inspiration to this card.  I also reached out to start using some of those piles of papers I just keep buying and not use.

My confession today is I will make more cards in a month so I can enjoy all of my purchases.

Off to take pictures, and looking forward to sharing.  I think Tilda looks like she got a little much sun.  I think she needed to use her umbrella instead of just "looking good" carrying it.  LOL  I'm having trouble really showing off the colors in this card.  Trying some auto settings...so what do you think????   The card definitely looks so much better in person.
