Austin Douglas Seable was born on Thursday at 3:03 pm. He weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. He is doing great and is very healthy. We came home from the hospital yesterday and everything is going well. My mom came into town yesterday and it is so great having her here.

Getting bigger
I decided to show some pictures to compare. I am 7 months pregnant with Jake in this picture.
This picture is from last Sat Dec 2. I think I am not as big as I was with Jake. But I am still feeling huge and really getting uncomfortable. I am really getting anxious and counting down to the days till Dec 28th, only 18 more days. I went to the doctor last Tuesday and everything is looking good. My doctor is guessing that the baby will weight 8 1/2 pounds, so we will have to wait and see.

Trip to Utah
We went down to Provo for Thanksgiving to be with my Grandma and brothers. We had such a great time, but I did decide that it is not easy or very comfortable to travel 8 months pregnant. But we are still glad we had the chance to go. We went down on Wednesday and came home Sunday. Here are some pictures from our trip.
Jake was 4 months old when Andrew went on his mission, so I was unsure if he would be very friendly. But when we got there Jake ran to Andrew and jumped in his arms, It was really cute. Jake doesn't sit still very much, but he decided to sit on Andrew's lap to watch the Cars movie.
Enjoying our Thanksgiving dinner - I look funny in this picture, but it was the only picture of the 3 of us.

On the drive down to Provo, Jake was very entertained by a burger king crown. What a silly little guy!
Here a picture of Andrew at Thanksgiving dinner at my aunt and uncle's house. We had such a good visit with Andrew. This was the first time that we had seen him since he got home from his mission in August.

Doctor's Appointment
Everything went well at my appt today. I will be 34 weeks on Friday. The doctor said that he thought the baby was close to 6 pounds now. Jake was 8 pounds 15 ounces, so the doctor is thinking this baby will be around the same size. The most exciting part of my appt today was that my doctor scheduled me to be induced on December 28! I am due Jan 5th, so this will be about a week early. My doctor doesn't want the baby to get too big and having the baby in 2006 will work better with our insurance deductible. I am just so excited to have an date set. Just 5 weeks and 2 days more!

Jake
This is just a picture of Jake from last week. I just thought it was a cute picture and wanted to share it.Jake has been so sensitive the past few days. On Saturday he was watching "Finding Nemo" and during the part where Nemo is captured by the scuba diver, Jake just started crying. He was so upset. I guess he really understood what was going on and it scared him. He had to have me sit right next to him the rest of the movie.
Baby's Room
As promised, here are some pictures of the baby's room. I used all the same bedding I used with Jake and I painted the room sage green color. I really love the color. I am just glad that the room is all set-up. Now all we need is our baby to get here!

We have a guest bed in the baby's room, which kind of takes up lots of space, but it sure is nice to have when we have company.
I plan on spelling out the baby's name on the shelf above the crib, but am waiting till after the baby is here to get the letters.

Our first call to poison control
Last Thursday we went over to Aaron's parent's house to watch the BYU game, since we don't have cable at home. Whenever we go over there Jake has to go and sit on his grandparent's bed and watch Toy Story. We were watching the game in the living room and Jake came out of the bedroom with white stuff all over his mouth and hands. He had found Aaron's mom's pill box and tried eating a pill. I think he decided that it tasted bitter and gross, so he spit it out. (I think Jake thought it was candy). So my mother-in-law figured out what pill was missing and I called poison control. He took a pill that was an anti-inflammatory and acetaminophen. The lady I talked to at poison control said that he would be fine, but might have a stomach ache. He didn't seem bothered at all. The lady from poison control even called back a couple of hours later to see how Jake was doing, but I think they do that all the time. I was kind of feeling like a bad mom, but I am sure most moms have called poison control before. Jake is just a little too curious sometimes. That is why every cabinet, drawer, and door in our house has child-proof locks on them.
Counting down
I had my 32 week doctors appointment last week. Everything is going good. I am measuring right on for my due date and the doctor thinks that the baby weights just under 4 pounds now. I feel like my belly is huge and it is hard to believe that the baby will most likely double in size before he is born. I am counting down the weeks and am getting anxious to hold this little guy. Hopefully the next 7 1/2 weeks will go by fast.

Our Halloween
I have been such a slacker. I have been having some trouble with the internet and it has been very frustrating. I know that Halloween was a week ago, but I am just now getting my pictures to upload.

Jake didn't want to hold still for pictures, but we tried anyway. I got the idea for the M&M costume from my sister and it was pretty easy to make. We took Jake to our ward truck or treat and then went over to Aaron's parent's house to hangout. I think Jake had a great time and of course got way too much candy.

10 more weeks!

Well I guess it is time for another picture. I am 30 weeks along on Friday. I feel like I have really had a growth spurt over the last month and feel like my belly is getting huge.
We have the nursery almost all put together. I still have a shelf and some pictures that I need to hang on the wall. Hopefully I can get that all done this weekend and take some pictures of the room. Everything is pretty much all ready for the baby, now we just have to wait.
Nothing is set yet for the baby's name. Aaron wants to wait till he is born to decide.

Domestic Violence
On Thursday, my visiting teachers were over and Jake was playing in the living room. He was just having a fun time and was all excited that we had people over. Jake was getting a little too excited and all of the sudden threw his Mr. Incredible action figure into the air. When it came down, it hit me right in the eye. It really hurt, but I had no idea that it would give me a black eye. It seems that everywhere I go I have to explain to people what happened.

This picture is from today. My bruise looks darker than in the picture. But it is not nearly as tender as it has been the last couple of days.

This picture is from Thursday. It wasn't very dark at this point.

Update
I don't have any new pictures to post, but I will try to post some soon. Everything is going good up here in Idaho. Jake has been talking more and seems to copy a lot of what he hears from us and other people. Jake will sing all the songs from nursery and loves to sing the "little einstein" song from the disney channel. This week he started singing "You got a friend in me" from the toy story movie. He only sings that one line, but it is so cute.
I have been working on getting the baby's room all put together. All the baby clothes are washed and put away in his dresser. We set up the crib a few weeks ago and Jake loves to climb in it. I am hoping that by having it around for a few months he will become less interested in climbing in it. Hopefully that will work. Right now he climbs in the crib and says "night night" and lays dpwn. We are planning to finish painting the room this weekend and I am excited to have to all done and ready for the baby. I will take some pictures once everything is finished.

Pics of Jake
This looks like kind of a scary smile. But it is just Jake saying "cheese"
Yesterday while I was having Aaron take a belly picture for me, Jake had to join the picture. He loves to be in the picture.
After church yesterday I put Jake down for a nap. It took him a while to calm down and I could tell he was not going to sleep. He finally did fall asleep and I went in to find the bed safety rail knocked on the floor. Jake was lying upside down and the mattress was pushed a foot away from the wall. What a wild boy!
I found Jake trying to put on his daddy's belt. I thought it was so cute that I had to take a picture. It is so funny how Jake tries to copy things that Aaron and I do.
Aaron took this cute picture of Jake just sitting in his room. Jake is so busy and active, but he is such a sweet boy.

Such a dumb thing to do!
Well I did something kind of dumb on Tuesday night. While I was making dinner I laid my right hand on the stove and burned most of my palm, pinky finger, and some of my thumb. So painful! I ran water over my hand then had my hand in ice for several hours. I was so glad that Aaron was home. He finished making dinner and took care of Jake for the whole evening. Well I tried going to bed holding an ice pack on my hand, but that really didn't work. By 11 I was out of bed refilling my ice pack and still in so much pain. I decided to sleep on the couch so that Aaron could sleep well. So I was up till almost 4am refilling my ice pack every hour and trying to fall back asleep. I couldn't believe how bad this burn hurt. So I did finally fall asleep on the couch around 4 and woke up at 6:30 when Aaron got. When I did wake up the pain was finally easing up, but only after having ice on my burn for 12 hours!
I had a doctors appointment yesterday and I had my doctor give me a prescription for some burn cream for me. He looked at my hand and said "I hope that doesn't hurt as bad as it looks" but it did. It is looking so much better today and the burn cream really helped. It has just been hard not really being able to do everything with my right hand. Aaron really helped me out a ton last night. I don't know what I would do without him. Thanks sweetheart!

Update
I haven't posted an update for a week and so much has been going on. Overall everything is going good. I did have a rough weekend. On Friday night I started feeling like I had a fever. So I took my tempature and it was 101 and I pretty much had a fever till Sunday afternoon. I couldn't get it go down under 100, but it didn't go higher than 102. My doctor said since I really didn't have any other symptoms I could just take tylenol and force fluids. But Monday I was feeling so much better and I was glad that I was sick over the weekend so Aaron could be around to help.
Last weekend before getting sick, I started a new project. I have been painting the family room, kitchen, and entry way. It was been a huge project, but I am almost done with my part, which is everything that can be done with getting on a ladder. So now I have to wait for Aaron to finish his part. So hopefully this weekend we can finish. I really love the new color, it is a tan color. I will take some pictures when we are all finished.
Last week, my neighbors gave me 2 grocery bags full of plums. So I decided to make jam. So my sister-in-law came over and we made tons of jam. There was almost 50 small containers. It turned out really yummy and I have been having it on my toast for breakfast everyday. I was just really excited about accomplishing something!

Exciting News!!!
Today was the big day. We are so excited to be having a boy!!! I am so excited for Jake to have a brother and I hope that they can be best buddies. Jake still has no idea what is going on, but I am sure that he will adjust fine.
The baby boy looks very healthy and right on schedule for his due date. These pictures are from the 3-D ultrasound. The are kind of blurry, but it was really neat to see his little face and arms.

Swimming Lessons
Here are some pictures from Jake's swimming class. He had such a good time and I loved being apart of the class. Jake really loved the water.

On the last day of class we got to go down the waterslide. Jake seemed to like it.

Fun with Grandpa Pickup
My dad was able to come visit last week and we had such a great time. Dad helped us out with some projects around the house and helped us out with our lawn. Jake had a good time with his grandpa, he just didn't him to hold him. Jake is kind of a momma's boy and doesn't like other people holding him when I am around. Hopefully someday he will grow out of that.

Aaron and my dad built Jake a sandbox on Saturday. It turned out great. We put it on the side of the house, so it will have lots of shade during the afternoon. Jake already loves it. My dad told me to make sure and tell Jake that his grandpa Pickup built this sandbox for him. Jake is lucky to have such a fun grandpa.

Bad Day
Today has been such a frustrating day. We started Jake's mom n' me swim class this week and went to that this morning. Jake is really loving the water. He hates it when it is time to leave. The class went fine, but after getting out of the pool I started getting a really bad headache. Right after swim lessons I had visiting teaching appointments and was planning on dropping Jake off at my mother-in-laws house. The ladies I visit teach don't have little children and their houses are not child proof. It is hard to bring Jake along so I decided to get a babysitter. So I rush from swim lessons grab Jake some chicken nuggets from McDonalds and drove 15 minutes to my in-laws. Then drive back to my first appointment, After knocking on her door and ringing the bell, I decided that she wasn't home. So I decided to drive to my companion's house and she wasn't home either. So I drove back to my house around the corner to check my messages to see if they cancelled. No messages. I thought maybe my companion went to the next appointment. So I drove to the next lady's house and she wasn't home either. By now I was only 10 minutes till her appointment so I thought she would be home. After waiting a few minutes I went back to the first house to check if she was home, checked my companion's house again, and back to the last appointment. No one home!! SO I went back home called everyone again and no one was home. So I decided to give up. So then I had to drive back and get Jake from my in-laws. By the end of all of this I was so frustrated and my head was just pounding. I was in the car from 12:00 till 1:30. I was ready to scream! Hopefully tonight will be a little less stressfull.

Trip to Provo
We just got back last night from a trip down to Provo. My parents were up from Texas and we all stayed with my grandma. It was great seeing my parents, my grandma, Brian, Travis and all of our other Utah relatives. We had such a great visit. I really wasn't ready to come home. I always love being in Provo for the 4th of July holiday. Almost every summer growing up we went to Provo for the 4th.

Jake loves his Uncle Brian. All my brothers are so good with little kids. We are so excited because Jake's uncle Andrew comes home from his mission in less than a month.

Some pictures from our hike up to Cascade Springs. It was really beautiful. Jake did pretty well in the backpack carrier.

Here are some pictures from the parade on the 4th:
Jake couldn't stop looking at the parade to take a picture, the parade was much more exciting!
Jake loved the parade. It was so cute. He would clap and wave at the people on the floats.

Ice cream

We have never been able to get Jake to eat ice cream. Not that it is someone we want him to eat lots of, but it seems like everyone likes ice cream. Up till today whenever he would try it, he would get the most disgusted look on his face. We thought maybe he didn't like how cold it was. Today we decided to stop and get a treat from TCBY. Jake was watching me eat my ice cream and then decided that he wanted to try it. So we guess he decided that ice cream wasn't so bad because then he finished my bowl for me. Funny little guy!
