Image It's Marks' birthday on Father's Day this year. We decided to go to the cabin for the day. It was sprinkling a little when we left, but when we reached the gate it was a hail storm from heck. The gate was mysteriously closed, so I decided to brave the storm and trudge up the super slippery hill almost dying twice, to see if my parents were there. All while, Adley is bawling in the truck thinking her mom had wandered out into the wilderness never to be seen again. My parents were there, and weren't sure why the gate was closed and locked. Anyway, once everyone was dry, we relaxed in the cabin and had dinner. Happy Fathers Birthday, Mark!

Image We dedided that rain or shine we would be brave and go the Trapnell party. It was a little bit rainy and a lot cold, but the kids had fun. Sades, Sheby (Sades friend), and Coltrin all had a chance to climb the rock wall. Adley and Coltrin both jumped in the bounce house, and everyone enjoyed hot dogs and cotton candy that Sades butted in line for. I even got to put together a couple of baskets for the drawing. Good job Ang for putting together such an incredibly fun day!

When it rains....

Image It's time to fertilize the yard! It takes a while to spread the stuff all over our big yard, but luckily Adley, was helping to help out her dad. She even got to sport the bright orange froggie rain gear. Someday, our yard will be beautiful and finished!

Another day older.....

Image We celebrated Coltrin's birthday the day after. First we went swimming with the Clayson clan, and then had the fam over for fabulous cake and ice cream. Coltrin was so, so, so excited to unwrap his Perfect Brownie Pan. He has been asking for it since the very first infomercial came on. Every time he saw a commercial, he would say"we should get that" and then it became #! on his wish list. He even got a Nintendo DSI from mom and dad, but the pan was still his favorite. Dang it! We could have saved like 200$. We had a lot of fun celebrating his fifth birthday. Happy Birthday you cute little old man!

Happy Birthday To Our Little Man!

Image My kids love love love this event. They have so many fun rides, huge baskets to bid on, and great food. This year, they even had the awesome Cosmo. Sades and Coltrin were so excited to get autographs from him. I hope ours can be this big one day!!

Today I met.....

Image Kelsi Osborne from the amazing sister band SHeDAISY. I think her sisters were also there.
Image The extremely delicious Mrs Fields(McKell). She was even handing out some her famous cookies!
ImageI had to miss the exciting Kindergarten zoo trip and listen to Sades tell me over and over again that Mr. B scheduled this event before Miss Mellor scheduled the zoo. Miss Mellor, says no way! Anyway, I missed out on the zoo because the fourth grade did presentations on famous Utahans. It was so fun to walk up and down the halls look at the kids posters and pamphlets and watch them portray there characters from Donnie Osmond to Chief Blackhawk. Merecedes was so excited to be Kelsi Osborne from SHeDAISY. She did a lot of research and made an amazing poster with my help of course! After they shared some of there songs with us and then taught us how to do some folk dancing. Great job fourth graders!

Spring Choir Concert

Image
Image Mercedes was so excited for spring choir because they were singing Thriller. Just check out her zombified costume. She was totally in to this one! Our choir and the teachers, do an absolutely amazing job. I warned Sades about being in the schools "glee club", I said before she knows she will be getting slushies in her face! Too funny!!!

Image It seems like it takes forever for winter to end. Then the wait for the snow to thaw, so we can finally make it up to the cabin to play and relax. The kids love it up there. We ride the wheelers, play games, sit by the fire and tell stories like the famous story of Big Foot and his hairy nut cheerios, and just relax and enjoy the view. The kids love to play in the old tree house Riley made years ago. Except poor Adley, who was just to small! Fun times!!!
