In Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond, Neutral cards can be included in decks of any class. Typically, they can be included in decks for two reasons :
- They are strong overall cards and fit an important mechanic in the current metagame which our deck lacks. For example, 10204110 in decks looking for a bit of help to close a match.
- They are a match-up specific card, we need to contain a popular match-up. During the first set, 10102110 became the universal answer to Swordcraft and Forestcraft in every deck lacking a way to answer an early board.
Best Neutral Cards in Infinity Evolved
Pressuring the opponent with a storm follower while taking care of their board is about the best thing you can do in the later stages of the match. Indeed, pure aggression can be risky if you ignore your opponent's followers, while playing defense gives your opponent a lot of room to develop on the following turn.
This card is a great middle ground a ton of decks have adopted.
The reactive 7-cost in the neutral pool, 10104110 is an amazing support card for most control or off-tempo decks looking to turn the board around heading into the late game. Typically, you will get a [7/7] plus another cheap super evolved follower to trade, while also gaining a bit of defense and a couple of cards.
A great early set up piece to plan for late game board centric battles. For midrange decks, looking to make the switch to a more aggressive play style in the second half of the match, the Crest will allow ignoring all the small followers, instead focusing on the opponent's leader.
Infinity Evolved features quite a lot of very menacing decks in the early game, able to quickly deal too much damage to hope for a comeback once the board is under control. Then, rather than wait for our first evolves on turn four or five, 10102110 will provide a cheap AoE to weather the storm.
If your class lacks solid removal in the mid-game, this is probably a card you will run three copies of. It will cost you a precious evolve, but losing the board and defenses due to a midrange threat we didn't take care of will be much worse.
Niche cards for certain archetypes :
- 10001120 in the Havencraft Ward deck, or to add some draw to your deck.
- 10101110 in aggro decks looking to improve their early game reliability.
- 10102310 in Runecraft Spellboost.
- 10104120 in Runecraft Spellboost and sometimes as an alternate win condition in very control oriented metagames.
- 10201310 as a tool to take care of early [2/2] followers.
- 10203110 is a great back-up plan for Swordcraft, Forestcraft and Abysscraft budget decks looking for a win condition when legendary cards did not show up in packs.
