So I just thought I would give an update of our year so far! Everyone knows that we have what think are the most adorable and awesome kids ever, but I just thought I would write down what everyone is up to before I forget and the whole year cruises by.
So I am a stay at home mom and I love it! Our baby is 6 months old, and well he has been kind of a hard one, we love you Rhett, but so far I have been given a run for my money! At first he cried A LOT! The pediatrician says...take all dairy out of your diet. SO I do this and it helps. Then you get your first ear infection we lived through it followed by croup. Then right before our trip to Florida you had your second ear infection...the airplane ride to Florida was by far one of the most stressful times EVER! Derek and I took turns holding you while you cried/screamed for 4 hours! IT was awesome, but we were so glad to be able to go away and forget the responsibilties of home for a bit.
Well, my best advice don't plan a trip to Orlando, Florida with a 5 month old! We had an awesome time, but it was so busy and we were all EXHAUSTED!!! Disney World was great and the kids had a blast! I am so glad that little Carson got to have his magical moment! There is nothing better than taking a toddler to see MICKEY! Kimberly had so much fun and cried the morning we were to fly home! Aubrey was sick for almost the entire trip, but really enjoyed the last 3 days!
Sometimes as a mom I fell like the song from Mama Mia...I work all night I work all day...I am sure you moms can relate! Of course the Monday after we arrived home Rhett had been up all night crying so I took him to the doctor...what do you know he has SEVERE ear infections in both ears. They prescribed a stronger antibiotic since this is his 3rd one! Well, he hated it and threw it up, so we took him into after hours and they gave him the first shot of a series of shots...he had 3 and we are hoping this week at his 6 month check up that there will be no sign of pink at all in his ears! Well, this past week I have decided to give Rhett baby oatmeal and peaches. HE LOVES IT!!!! Thanks goodness...He has been taking longer naps and last night was the first night in a LONG time that he only woke up 2 times! He had been waking up 4 to 6 times for quite sometime. We moved the crib out of our room and I am sure it helped! Now Derek says he doesn't have to worry that everytime he moves he might wake him up! It will be good for him to have his own little spot in the house for EVERYONE!
So I know most of you got up took a shower and went to church...well, I am still in my PJ's! Our house looked like a hurricane blew through..so I have been cleaning the kitchen all morning and then we had technical difficulties with the washer! Derek my superhero fixed it!!! So now the second load of towels are going. The dishwasher is running and the chairs are in the family room waiting for the floor to be mopped! I am going to try this week to be super organized and maybe next Sunday we will make it to 9 AM church! I am super excited about some awesome recipes I got yesterday from a friend! They are super healthy! I am hoping to get back into a routine whatever a routine is! The girls are in ice skating lessons and love it! We also decided that dance is sooo good for them and they just had their first class yesterday to start getting them ready for spring tryouts! Carson is the most awesome little boy he just turned 3 and he is sooo SWEET! He had a moment of terrible two's, but I think part of it was adjusting to the new baby! Derek is as always super busy at EchoPass, but it is the best job! HE LOVES IT!!!! (most people don't love their job) Anyway, I know this is the most random post I have ever made, but I just wanted to write down a couple of things while we continue on our awesome journey! So in a nutshell, during January we had my sister-in laws birthday, my birthday, our amazing trip to Florida, and Carson's birthday. Rhett also learned to roll over and is babbling and drooling and smiling all the time and he definately has won our hearts! Now it's February 13, and Rhett is 6 months old! Time flies! The past 6 months really seem like a blur. Aubrey is doing so great in 3rd grade and Kimberly LOVES kindergarten! I can't believe my girls are growing up so fast!
