MDC North Campus recognizes the need for students to have a holistic approach to career planning. We envision students being able to select a career choice, such as being an Architect or a Mechanical Engineer and generating an educational pathway to achieving that goal. A sample pathway would be earning:

A.A./A.S degree -> B.S. degree -> M.S. degree -> Ph.D.

The pathway would begin with an appropriate MDC program or programs, a transfer plan to a graduate program, if required, including any articulation agreements from MDC to other institutions, any internships, and any optional or required exams or certifications and their associated requirements. For example, to be a licensed mechanical engineer you would need to pass the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) and the Practice of Engineering (PE) exams. There should be alternative pathways provided. i.e. all potential MDC programs should have a pathway provided.
