Meet Jersey

Image

Since our dog Roxanne died this summer our other dog Max has been really lonely. We have been looking for over a week now for a companion dog for him, and finally found this little 3 month old puppy.

Image

They said at the shelter she was a weimaraner mix, but she looks nothing like a weimaraner. She and her 5 litter mates came from a kill shelter down south. They were going to be put to sleep, so this shelter in NJ offered to take them and that's where we found her. We actually applied to take one of her litter mates who was black with brown eyebrows and brown on the paws, but the shelter people got the pups mixed up and we got the black one instead. We decided to name her Jersey. She is such a good puppy. She already learned to sit and is crate trained. She doesn't even cry at night. I think she is probably a better match for our family than the other puppy would have been.

This is a weimaraner puppy. What do you think?

Max and Jersey get along fine. Right now they are batting out who is dominant, and Max is a bit jealous of the new puppy. It will take a little bit of time for them to get use to each other.

So meet Jersey, the newest member of our family!

The Dog Days of Summer

Image
This is Max, our hand-me-down dog. Technically HYBP's dog.

Image

He has been a part of our family now for 2 years. We got him from HYBP's father, who got him from a neighbor. He was too much dog my 80 year-old father in law, so we took him off his hands. He lives the good life at our house chasing (and yes, killing) birds, squirrels, cars & SUV's along the fence, and swimming in the pool. Did you know Labs really have webbed feet? Max the bird slayer is the reason the birds no longer nest in our yard. I'm quite irritated about that.

Image
Our kids call him: Max, Maxi-pad, Gluteus Maximus, Maximus, Maxine, Max-a-million, and Maxter. HYBP calls him Son of a #*%@. I personally think he looks like a Baxter.

leave of absense

As you might have noticed, this blog has gone rather unattended. Work has kept me extremely busy. In addition, I had to make a impromptu trip to Seattle. It was nice because all of my sisters and quite of few of my nephews and nieces were there. Image my nephew, Arthur, and sister Mounyen.

So, here’s how it works:

2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that’s playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the "next" button
