Si-Notes
The artsy and ambitious Si-Notes has become known far beyond her hometown. Originally from the city of Brockton, Massachusetts, she was raised and experienced the harsh realities of city life early on in Baltimore, Maryland. These obstacles and challenges would later aid in shaping her sound which can be described as pure, raw, vulnerable, and relatable - delivered authentically from the soul of an artist that breathes hip-hop. An intertwine of city life, slick talk, and sex appeal illuminates from her lyrics.
This edgy yet classic talent embraced her musical gift after highschool and thrived in the underground hip-hop scene. Si-notes and music have always had a strong connection! It was the launch of a career journey when her first project "Mic Check" released in 2007. She has since opened up for talents such as Project Pat, Trina, Styles P and Keith Murray. In 2021 she released "Run It Up" followed by "Not That Innocent" in 2022 and then "No Longer" which was released in 2023.
The 'Run It Up' Queen has been featured on countless mixtapes and websites. Si-Notes has been featured on both local and national radio. Her lyrical contribution to the "Vibin w/ Veiga" theme song for The Vibin' w/ Veiga radio show has gained a lot of attention and spins in the surrounding club scenes. The single has traveled internationally with airplay in The United States, The United Kingdom as well as in Italy, to date.
Her most recent release "The Black Heart Experience" has reintroduced Si-Notes as the woman she has grown into over time. With a slick and confident flow she embodies her interpretation of black love with smooth, melodic hip-hop beats. Being the soundtrack to her unreleased docu-concert also titled "The Black Heart Experience", she provides her audience with clever wordplay and smooth tales about black love focusing on the optimism and necessity of it.
With a logical head on her shoulders, this boss lady has found a way to balance being a mom, a real estate agent, a business owner, and an all around artist. She put it best when she said, "I need music in my life, I need to be creating it and sharing it. It’s like breathing air - very necessary!"
