It was a very merry Christmas!

We had so much fun this year celebrating Christmas with Sage. It seems like as you get older the less you care about yourself and the more you care about your family. Even though Sage didn't have a clue as to what was going on we had fun watching her play with the wrapping paper and tissue paper! This Christmas we went to the Simons Christmas party, the McGee Christmas party, and Scott's parents house for Christmas Eve and Day. It is always so fun to see family and see the excitement on kids faces when Santa makes his appearance. I love it!

Sage is busy opening and eating her gift from Santa at the McGee party. YUMMY!

Sage got camo pj's from her grandpa Harry! They were actually really cute with ruffles on the bum! Who would have ever guessed my little princess would wear camo pj's!

I've been tagged....twice! Thanks Katie and Tarin!

Okay here are six things about me you may or may not know!

1. I have a bachelors degree in Elementary Education
2. I love going to the movies and relaxing with a cherry coke and popcorn
3. My top three books are The Notebook, Rebecca, and Twilight.
4. I am constantly on the internet.
5. Scott and I were set up by three unrelated mutual friends
6. One of my favorite times of the day is when Sage wakes up in her crib full of smiles and kicks!

That was really hard for me! I tag Terra and Rachael!

Edward

Image
For those of you that are obsessed with "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer like me...you should know that they have started casting the roles for the movie. I found out today that Edward has been cast.........I am so disappointed! I am sure that everyone has their own idea of what Edward looks like but the actor they chose is so far from mine I want to scream! His name is Robert Pattinson. Check him out and see what you think. I want to know your opinion!

Still Alive and Kicking!

It has been over a month since I have posted anything! Mostly I haven't had a lot of time and I couldn't find the cord to connect my camera to the computer! Can you believe that it is almost 10:00 am and Sage is still sleeping?!! She has had two nights of sleeping for about 6 hour stretches it has been great! I can only hope that it will continue and our nights will get better! She has had a couple of colds so far this season which has been no fun. It drives my crazy to see her with a snotty nose! My funny niece Chelsea gave me some advice to always wipe my kids snotty noses...so I make sure I keep her snot free! Thanks Chels! Any way here are some pic's of Thanksgiving at the Simons' house. I hope everyone is doing good! Happy Holidays!

Just a few questions.....for anyone!

So, here is what I want to know.
First, if your baby will not lay down to take a nap at the "scheduled" time and then she finally falls asleep at 6 at night...do you let her keep sleeping or do you wake her up so you can put her to bed at the "normal" hour? (is anything really scheduled or normal with a baby?)
Second, is feeding rice cereal hard for anyone else? She seems to hate it! She just cries when I try to feed her. What do I do? Do I hold off until she is a little older or is this just what it takes for her to learn how to eat solids?
Third, how do you get cute templates? I don't get it.....

I know, I know. It has been forever since I posted anything! It seems like we have been super busy lately and super exhausted! Here is what we have been up to lately....

We took a trip to Knoxville, TN to visit my sister Julie and her family. It was so great to spend time with her! We had a lot of fun checking out Knoxville and just hanging out. It is so beautiful there! Thanks Stoner's for a wonderful trip!

We have gotten Sage a new high chair and jumparoo! (Thanks for the idea Rach!) Sage hasn't figured out how to bounce yet but she is having fun playing with the toys and drooling all over it! I love the high chair I just push it around the house where ever I go and she loves it! Hopefully it will serve its purpose soon when she is actually interested in eating her rice cereal. So far when I put a spoon to her mouth she looks at me funny and starts to cry. Any advice other mom's out there?

For Halloween Sage was a Chicken. By the looks she was giving me she wasn't to thrilled to be in it but she lasted long enough to get a few cute pic's. Here's my little chick! I love how she is looking at the scarcrow, I feel like she is saying, "Who the heck are you?"

I love how Sage looks in the morning! Her hair is getting so long on top it creates quiet the little mo hawk!

Giggles!

Sage has been giggling a lot more lately. It is so much fun! Watch this video of her giggling before bath time!

Just Hanging Out!

Wow! It is has been a while since I updated my blog! I finally got the camera out and snapped a few pictures of Sage who is now 16 weeks old. She has been so much fun lately with her smiles and giggles.
I decided it was time to try some new toys out with Sage. She is not too sure about her little gym but it does earn me a few extra minutes to myself!

Image

Sage has also learned that by arching her back in her car seat she can wiggle her way (almost) out of it! It is fun for her but can be a struggle for me while trying to buckle her in.

Image Image

Last weekend Sage went on her first hunting trip. Scott, me, and Sage loaded up the car Friday and headed for Wyoming where we went Antelope hunting. It's always a fun adventure staying in random motels in the middle of nowhere! As you can image Sage's Daddy was very excited to have his girls along for the hunt.

PAINT ANYONE?

Image Image
ImageImage
Our first house really was the cutest little house. We kept it as a rental and this is what happens when people go paint crazy! If you knew what it looked like before you would feel a little sad too! We have a lot of work ahead of us to get it ready to sale or rent again. Know anyone???? Lesson learned: NEVER, NEVER, NEVER ALLOW PEOPLE TO PAINT EVEN IF YOU THINK THAT ARE GOING TO BUY IT BECAUSE THEY JUST MIGHT LEAVE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT!

Scott's latest adventure!

Scott and his dad just recently went on a hunting trip to Canada. They had a blast while they were there mostly because they each shot a black bear.
Image
As you can see they are very large! I found out later that Scott shot this beast while standing on the ground as the bear was coming to "check him out". Ahh! It's always a relief when these two make it home safely.

Road Trip!

Image

Right after the Blessing we loaded up the car and headed to Grandma and Grandpa's house. Thankfully, Sage is a great traveler! Mostly because her Mommy sits next to her in the back seat! What a treat!
Image
Sage and I had a Imagegreat time hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa! We played outside on the grass our first day! Sage loves being outdoors! She especially liked being loved by her grandma.
Image
We also got to visit Sarah and Ivie. Sage and Ivie are friends already! They found each others hands! They are so cute!

Sage's Blessing Day

Image

September 2nd was an incredible day. Sage was blessed in our home ward by her Daddy. He gave such an amazing blessing with such tender and specific words for her. Sage was lucky to have so many friends and family come and witness her special day!
Image
Of course I had to find Sage the perfect blessing dress. The best place I found was "Little Things Mean A Lot" in American Fork! Love it!

Aunt Shelley got some time with Sage. So did Uncle Steve and Aunt Sandy!

Natalie's wedding

Image Image

Image Natalie's wedding was so beautiful! We had a great time and Sage was such a princess! We were worn out by the end of the night though! Sage slept sooo good...four hour stretches! I know.....but that extra hour really helps!

Sunday morning!!!

Image Image

Sage is such a happy girl! She was laying on my bed Sunday morning and was giving me lots of smiles! Doesn't she look so cute all dolled up in her sunday dress? Church makes her very sleepy!
