Christmas morning!

Wells Fargo gave Reagan a giant horse for Christmas!  They usually donate these stuffed animals to charity but because they know that Reagan is having surgery they gave it to her!  It was a big hit Christmas morning!

Little Reagan

Image
For journaling purposes for myself and my family I wanted to share my thoughts and feelings about my little Reagan.  She is now 9 months old.  I can't believe how fast time has gone by, how much she has grown, and how much she has changed my life.   Reagan truly lights up any room she is in.  She is beautiful, happy, feisty, energetic, and full of love.  As I think about her and about our journey with her I can not deny Heavenly Father's hand in our life.  I can say that I know that He sent me special and very specific angel's to help me through this process.  Rachel, my dear friend that my sister set me up with, has given me hope by sharing her life with me.  Her sweet daughter Bailey also has FH (fibular hemamilia) like Reagan.  She is an amazing and beautiful girl.  Jessie, an incredible 20 year old who has FH, has given me peace.  Peace that Reagan will have a normal life and that she will be able to do everything and anything she wants.  My Bishop, who has shown us a wealth of sincere love and support.
Scott and I knew that the day would come when we needed to make a decision about Reagan's leg.  You see we had two choices. One option was to have her undergo many surgeries of leg lengthening procedures, followed by ankle and knee surgeries.  Or to amputate her foot.  We spent 9 months thinking about this, talking to people, researching, praying, fasting, and of course loving our baby girl.  I can say that I know with certainty that we should amputate her foot.  Scott feels the same way, as well as the Doctor when we went in for her 9 month appointment at Shriner's Hospital for Children.  Reagan will have surgery on January 5th, 2011.  She will be fitted for a leg 6 weeks after surgery and we should get it a week or so after.  After that point she will learn to walk with her new leg.  She will never know the difference.
Earlier today I had a very neat experience.  All that I will share is that it felt as though Heavenly Father's arms were around me.  I felt overwhelmed by his presence and know that he has not forgotten us.

Sage came home today from Preschool with this headband. On one of the feathers it says,"Sage earned a feather by helping Halle and Anna clean the kitchen toys!" It put a tear in my eye! I'm so proud!

October Fest at Our House

We had a fantastic month at our house this October!  We have been enjoying the cooler weather, the beautiful Fall colors, the friend and family get togethers, the class parties, the pumpkins, the scarecrows, and of course the customes!

We of course have a tradition of going to the pumpkin patch to pick out our prized pumpkins.  Sage was very invovled with the selection this year and I think we were all pretty happy with our findings!  We love the kind of pumpkins with character.  You know the one's that are discolored and have lots of warts!  We had so much fun and were able to get some cute pictures too!

We made it to the fun filled Corn Belly's this year with the Hewitt's.  We had a blast until the weather turned very cold!  Reagan and I found that sitting in the car was much more enjoyable than freezing.  Thankfully Scott and Sage were tougher than Reagan and I and they partied a bit longer while we waited in the car.
Image
The girls and I took a trip down the see my parents this month!  The drive there was gorgeous!  I couldn't resist taking a couple pictures out the window of the beautiful colors.
Image
We had a blast at my parent's house!  Sadly I hardly took any pictures.  Reagan was on the verge of crawling there and started about a week later when we got home!  She is so busy these day's!  She is an explorer!

(Pooh had to be in the picture too!?)

Sage had a Halloween Party at Preschool!  Here she is all glammed up as Belle this year.

I have a feeling these two are going to get into a lot of trouble together!

The Hewitt's came over for our annual pumpkin carving party!

On Halloween we went over to Scott's parents for tick or treating and some chili!  We had our little chicken and beautiful Belle (picking her nose, awesome!)
Hope you all had a Happy Halloween.  I know Sage wishes we could do it all over again!  She is already planning next years costumes!

Baby Sage

Image

I was looking at some pictures of Sage when she was 7 months old! I forgot how awesome her hair was when she was little (it is still awesome today too)! It is crazy to me how different her and Reagan look! I love my babies! Especially at this age! It seems like they do something new every day!
