Swinging by Swansons

We visited the Christmas setup at Swansons this evening after visiting my parents in the hospital. I forgot how tall camels are and how fun it is to see reindeer. The girls insisted that Coco come with us:

Lazy Sunday 2

I couldn't resist.  This is the 2nd part of Lazy Sunday:

Back in Black

A good friend of mine recently reminded me that I hadn't updated this blog in over a year. I thought about posting a few times throughout this year, but I never got it done. As I looked over my blog caricature photo at the top of the page, I realized that I am psychic. We're all wearing sunglasses in the caricature, and guess what the four of us dressed up as this past Halloween...

Unfortunately, we forgot to get a full family picture of our MIB outfits.

There are too many things to post after being gone for over a year. Jae is still traveling to India every month, the girls are still loving their school & activities, my mom is still not doing well health-wise, and I am still trying to catch up to 2012. The year is almost over, you say? Yes, but I finally got my first smartphone at the end of October. There's something very stressful about having to carry around your life inside an ultra mini-computer, but there's something very awesome about texting people. Instant gratification with this technology stuff.

One really huge piece of recent news is that my dad bought my mom a puppy. Little baby Chihuahua named Coco (of course). Because of my mom's tracheotomy * surgery and longer stay at the hospital, we are taking care of Coco for my parents. Until my mom returns home and my dad can handle the dog again. Jae and the girls are in love, but I am on the fence. The little critter is cute, but he is nerve-wrackingly tiny. Also, it's like having a newborn around. And this time I have my own two children plus a really big kid to think about.

I'll leave you with one of the girls' favorite MIB scenes:

* Sunday, Dec 2nd: Major miscommunication between my dad and me. I thought my mom was having a tracheotomy, but it turns out that she had a stomach feeding tube operation done. On top of that, she developed pneumonia during her 6-day hospital stay. My parents are finally going home tonight or tomorrow morning.

I wish I could embed this one with Jim Carrey, but you'll just have to click on this link if you're remotely interested in watching him speak Korean...

Julius Reports

I saw versions of this shirt over the summer and was tempted to get one:

If you're wondering why that face looks so familiar, here's a hint:

Seattle Stats

There's a really interesting analysis of Seattle that surprised me. I never would have guessed that we are the coffee capital of the world!

Just kidding. I'm not even a coffee/latte/tea drinker, but I know that fact.  You can't escape all the coffee shops on every block of this city!  What surprised me was that we have the highest number of kids playing soccer than the rest of the country.

Pretty interesting stuff:

Party Miming

I'm still not sure if these spoofs are really funny or really strange, but this particular one brings back lots of tasty memories...

This is "Green Light" with John Legend and Andre 3000 (one of my favorites):

Holy LoudMobile!

This company built their version of the Batmobile, which sounds pretty cool on paper.  You can purchase this one-of-a-kind vehicle on eBay for "only" $640,000.  The following video, however, made me realize that you need high-tech ear plugs to even test drive it...

Even if I had the cash to buy the custom-made one, I'd most definitely prefer watching free, old clips of the original Batmobile:

Anybody Want A Peanut?

Everyone is loving the 80's these days!  I'm personally more of the 90's, but I've been reminded of my obsession of a couple 80's films.  I instantly fell for this one (mostly because of Westley), and it's still such a classic:

I instantly fell head over heels for this one too (mostly because of his voice & music), and I still can't get enough of it.  Unfortunately, I cannot post some of the best parts of this movie.  Too many good scenes that just aren't appropriate for my blog.
