Merry Christmas My Dear!

Ever since we've been married Brandon has wanted a blog. I have an aversion to anything electronic and I left our camera on the plane after the honeymoon so the idea seemed tedious and impractical. But Christmas does strange things to you. I've decided to sacrifice my selfish desires and make this blog as a present . . .

ImageIsn't this Christmas tree beautiful? After being spoiled by inexpensive fresh trees in Oregon, it seemed hard to make the switch to artificial. I thought our only tree this year was going to be a live one-incher that a dug up at a doctor's office and replanted, but Brandon surprised me by making this one while I was out of town.

This is the view from the inside. Brandon used tent poles and wire for the frame. Isn't he creative?

ImageAnybody want a peanut? Trees were only the beginning of Brandon's creativity this year. This tiny nativity is made entirely from nut shells.

Image Snow in Las Vegas? Apparently these palm trees only turn white once every 50 years.

ImageWe were asked to be Mary and Joseph at our ward Christmas party. Being expectant parents made it an especially touching experience.
