Leaving Osmond Designs

Image
For the last four and a half months I have worked at Osmond Designs.  It has been a great way to get back into the work force and I ended up making a bunch of new, great friends (co-worker's and customers!)

Image
Louise was my manager and who hired me. She is great to work with and an amazing lady.

Image
Noelle, Chelsea (our designer), myself and Monette. We had lots of laughs during our long shifts.

Image

Chanelle and I got to work together on Mondays and she is a newlywed from Tucson!

Image

Mikhail and I had lots of shifts together and she knows her furniture...another newlywed!

Image

Justin who keeps everything straight for the company sang me, "I hope you have the time of your life" as a good bye gift!
Yes...it made me cry...

Image

Ryan and Ryan....some of our delivery guys!  Love them all!

Image

Walking into the store.... Chelsea does an amazing job as does Noelle on our design!

Image
One thing I will NOT miss....turning on the hundreds of lamps at the beginning and end of our day.  I started a fun game (after getting my i-phone) setting the stop watch to see how fast we could get the job done!  I know they are going to miss me!!!

Image
Debbie our gal who works in the back receiving items.  Every day we get new accessories and furniture!  A great place to check out at least once a week!

Image
Theresa was my buddy from the start!  She kind of gave me the in's and out's of the place!  Helped me wheel out my first cart of accessories!

Image

Had the Osmond Gir's over for dinner on my third day of working my new job at UVI.  Kim (my replacement), Chanelle, Noelle and Chelsea (up front).  We did a baked potatoe bar, made my asparagus tarts and homemade rolls, and Louise made her amazing German Chocolate cake...

A little note on why I left Osmond's.  I loved working there and LoveD all who I worked with.  But another opportunity came and I thought I'd apply and interview with Utah Valley Imaging.  They offered shorter hours, more pay, insurance, paid holidays, etc.
I figured...if I have to work then I need to make the most of my time away from home.  The owners of Osmond Designs told me I could always have a job there if I wanted one...which is nice to know. But, as those who have worked retail know...it is hard on your body and life style. Standing on my feet on concrete for nine hours, four days a week took some getting use to but I did. But, I'm excited about having more of a career type job.  I work the front desk at UVI. They offer open MRI's and do pain management.  The people are great but there is not as much drama...that can be good & bad!  I will truly miss my friends at Osmond's but know that we will keep in touch and have many more partee's!!!  Love you girls!

The Anderson's come for a quick visit...

Image

Having a nice, quiet dinner with the Anderson's...

Image

Emily and Cathy...what a treat to have Emily come with her parents to Utah.  It was a somber occasion for their visit as a close family friend unexpectedly passed away.

Image

Rick took our picture then we started laughing and wondered if the candles got in the way....

 Image

One more shot at a different angle...just to make sure we were in                  the picture!  We got a chuckle off this one...

Image

We had to make a quick stop at Kurt and Jen's. Emily had not seen Kurt in over ten years...closer to fifteen! I wanted them to see Cannon and McCoy.  Cannon impressed Maggie with his drop-kick!

Image

Kurt and Jen and their sweet family!

Jen took a picture of us before we headed up to Temple Square.

Image

What a treat to show them Temple Square during the holidays.

Finding the perfect tree...December third

Image

I finally had a Saturday off so we went to a new Christmas tree lot in town... These tree's were cut from Oregon!

Image

Kelsey chose a beautiful noble fir and it took us minutes to decide!  Love that kind of decision making!

These were our beautiful assistants...one being Jeff & Andrea's daughter Chantell (right).

We made it home in minutes and the tree looks beautiful in our big family room.  I'll have to show you later!
