Sucker...

Sorry I have not written or posted anything on here since Halloween. We are still here I have just been a slacker! So the other day I ran to the craft store with the two kiddos and they were being really good, which is unusual for them...So I bought them both suckers. I ran into a friends for a minute to drop something off and when I came out Caitlyn told me Hailey had lost her sucker. All I can think is great this sticky sucker is somewhere stuck to my floor mat, because just looking at Hailey covered in sticky green drool tipped me off to what I was going to find. I instantly regretted buying them. I ran to my moms to see her since I was driving by her house and tore apart the car to find the sucker. I could not find that sucker anywhere and I was really mad about it. On the way into my mom's while holding Hailey I found the sucker!

Yep! Stuck right in her hair! I felt really stupid that I didn't see a big green thing sticking in her hair before, but I think when you have more than one kid you stop paying attention to the details...even big green suckers stuck to their head! Good news we did not need to cut her hair! I dont' think I will be buying them suckers to have in the car again no matter how good they are!

Funny Stuff

Okay so I have a funny story about Caitlyn. The other day she told me that she really wanted to scratch her back on a tree like Baloo the bear does in "The Jungle Book". I asked her why and she looked at me like I was crazy and said "Because it would feel good Mommy"! Duh I am supposed to know that right. Well yesterday during sacrament meeting we were sitting back in the cultural hall because like usual we were a couple of minutes late. Well Caitlyn kind of moved away from us and was dancing in the isle for a minute by the wall, you know the ones that have the prickely carpet halfway up the side. We told her to come sit down and be reverent. We look a minute later when she hadn't come and saw that she was standing scratching her back up and down on the wall like Baloo the bear. It was so funny!

A Very Rainy Halloween

Here is Scott's pumpkin that he was so proud of. He did the shaving technique instead of carving. It did turn out pretty cool!
ImageHere is the pumpkin I carved. I know Scott thinks his pumpkin was the coolest pumpkin ever, but I thought mine was pretty neato as well.

Image This is how we went out trick or treating. I drove with Hailey in the backseat while Caitlyn and Scott sat in the trunk and jumped out to go to houses. Caitlyn loved it!

As you can tell it was pretty rainy. You can see Caitlyn grabbing her spoils.

Image Kind of weird that on Halloween there would be a double rainbow. You can barely see the second one but it is on the right. "No way a double rainbow"!! (For all those Jimmy Fallon Fans that understand the significance of the double rainbow.)

Family Party

The Friday before Halloween my mom had a family party at her house it was fun. (sorry the pictures have smudges on them, found out later something was on the lense) Wondering why my face looks chocolatey...

ImageWhile I was making these werewolves Scott decided to have a frosting fight. Just so you know his face looked more chocolatey than mine. If you can't tell from the picture my smile is the "I am going to kill you" smile. These were cute cupcakes but holy cow a lot of work!

Image These are the beautiful pumpkins that the fam all carved.

This is my brother and his family. He had his wife were hillbillies and oh my gosh they not only looked the part but acted the part almost the entire night. They had crazy billy bob teeth. My brother told Caitlyn if she didn't brush her teeth they would look like his. She has brushed her teeth religiously since. Sometimes more than twice a day! Their oldest daughter had the cutest costume. You can't tell from the picture but she was Astrid from "How to Train your Dragon" and she looked just like her!

Image Here is a close up of me and "Bubba". I was a rocker chick. I could not find any colored hairspray anywhere because I decided to dress up last minute, but you get the gist of it.

ImageThe cute grandkids, great-grandkids, me and mom.

Image It was a lot of fun! We ate dinner in a pumpkin with all sorts of Halloween dishes. Thanks mom for making it so fun for everyone!
