Snow Shoeing
For Christmas we bought each other snow shoes so we decided we better go out and use them. So the other day we went up to MillCreek Canyon and went snow shoeing.
Here's Chad posing for the camera! Work it! Work it!

This snow shoeing is harder then it looks. We got a good workout to say the least.

We stopped for some lunch at Elbow Fork and it was so nice outside the sun felt great.
After snow shoeing for what felt like hours we found out we had passed our car so we decided to take a "detour" straight down this mountain side. Seeing as the avalanche danger is at severe level right now, this might not have been the best idea we've had. But we made it down, with only one minor mishap which was me losing my snowshoe...So we had to do it all over again the next day to find my snowshoe, but don't worry we found it and all is well. We had a great time and are hoping we can use our snow shoes more often...

Arielle LaRose
Arielle is down at Dixie enjoying her 2nd year of college. She will be graduating with her Associates degree this fall semester and then transferring somewhere else to finish her bachelors. She's just not sure exactly where yet... She is on a full ride scholarship through Dixie Alumni and she is enjoying all the social life that comes with being a college student.
Sweet Retirment!
Chad retired from the Salt Lake County Sheriffs Office on August 31st. He was retired for a whole 4 days and then started working with the Cottonwood Heights PD. He's really enjoying working in Cottonwood heights. For now he works as a traffic accident investigator/ SWAT team negotiator and whatever else this small department needs.
