How To Reduce Battery Drain In SmartPhones

Introduction

Battery technology is one of the least improving popular tech around. It’s true that phones can last longer these days when compared to what they do, but jugding by the flaws that comes with that and how improved other branches of phone tech are, battery tech is literally at almost a standstill. Some of the flaws of batteries is not lasting long. Though it is sometimes a sign of getting old, some phones never even last even when they are new.

Some ways to reduce this are:

1.) Turn on Airplane mode:

In a scenario where you aren’t doing anything with your phone, you can turn on Airplane mode if your phone doesn’t have Ultra power mode. Airplane mode is a much better option than battery saver as I have checked them out to find out that battery saver reduces a lot of abilities for little equivalence of battery saved. Though airplane mode literally halts some important things you can do, if using your media is the only thing you are doing with your phone, airplane mode essentially helps a lot. If your battery gets to the stage where it drains while you are not using it, airplane mode usually negates this, though you can’t receive calls in this mode.

2.) Turn on Ultra power mode:

Ultra power mode doesn’t come with every phone, but for phones that has it, it is a very useful tool. Though apart from receiving calls and messages, it puts your phone at a much worse state than the airplane mode, but the battery saving capacity is very good. Your phone literally stay for days in this mode, while it will only last for few hours in the normal state.

3.) Turn off Data connection:

In most phones, data connection consumes the highest amount of battery. Though this depends on the phone and other competing battery using apps or features in your phone. Data connection behaves in such a way because it works with other battery drainig apps like browsers while it’s on, and it turns on some background functions like autoupdating of apps, receiving online messages, and so on. Turning it off would not only save your battery but your data.

4.) Turn off Location:

Location though necessary to be on, should be turned off when not necessary. Most apps need your phone’s location, and in a scenario where your phone goes missing, it can help recover it, but it drains battery. Though not that significant, it counts.

5.) Turn off Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Hotspot:

Turn off your bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and hotspot while not in use. They also have some other effects on your phone. Bluetooth causes hanging for low end phones in a massive way and affects other apps alongside the hotspot. Wi-Fi is not a problem if there is no Wi-Fi connection available to connect to, but when there is one, it’s best to turn it off if you don’t want to use it.

Location, data connection, Wi-Fi, and other connectivity features of a smarphone also makes it easier for trackers and crackers to find and influence your activities which isn’t good.

6.) Get a new battery:

If you have the money, it’s best to acquire a new battery from the producer as that’s the best option when your battery gets old.

7.) Avoid usage while charging:

Avoid using your phone while it’s charging as it slows down charging speed, reduces battery life, and causes your phone to hang.

Conclusion

Battery problems are one of the major problems smartphone users face, so finding a way to solve the problems can reduce stress. As your smartphone is one of the closest things to people of this generation; having one that gives you trouble can cause anxiety, stress, anger, and some other not so good reactions in your body.
