We've made some slight UI changes to the homepage and the article pages for readers of our website who visit using desktop or laptop computers (which is about half of our audience!).
1.) It is now even easier to sign up for newsletters — no more filling out your first and last name (though you can provide those after the fact, or on our dedicated newsletters page — it helps us deliver more-tailored newsletters and e-mail alerts to you).
2.) A revamped "Jump To" on our homepage lets you quickly get to the news that matters to you. Just want to read about the advertising industry? There's a link for that. Want the latest news on media and sports? There's a link for that, too.
3.) The logo in the side-rail now includes a custom-built menu that includes shortcut to our social media profiles on X, LinkedIn and Bluesky, plus a dedicated button to our stories on MSN.com and a button for our RSS feed (for those who prefer to read stories in their own newsreader apps), along with an in-house designed newsletter sign-up form.
4.) Top stories can now be accessed via a custom-built "Top Stories" module in the sidebar of each news article, just below the newsletter sign-up form. (And, yep, we refreshed the look of the newsletter sign-up form there, too!).
5.) We've listened to your feedback, and there are now fewer ads throughout the website! In some places, we've removed ad placeholders entirely; in others, we've reduced the size, so they don't interfere with the look-and-feel of the website or the contents of the articles.
This is just the start — we're also working on refreshed experiences for readers who prefer to engage with stories and content on their mobile devices, or who use a mixture of both. As always, your comments and suggestions are appreciated!
