Casepeat (Kim Ki-Won) is widely regarded as a pivotal figure in the South Korean Trance scene, bridging the gap between the underground movement and academic artistry. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at Seoul Culture Arts University (SCAU) and the Korea Representative for Trance Family Asia, he brings a unique depth of theory and emotion to the electronic music landscape.
His productions have secured a firm foothold in the global market, with releases on top-tier imprints including Black Hole Recordings' sub-labels (Subculture, Nocturnal Knights, Regenerate, Magic Island, AVA, Elpida), High Voltage, and Blue Dot Music. Commercially, his tracks have proven their impact, hitting #1 on the Beatport Trance Hype Chart and breaking into the Top 10 of the Trance (Main Floor) Chart.
Casepeat’s capability as a world-class producer has been validated by heavy rotation on the scene's "Big 3" radio shows: Armin van Buuren's A State of Trance (ASOT 1164), Aly & Fila's Future Sound of Egypt (FSOE 939, 901, 891, 861, 853), and Paul van Dyk's VONYC Sessions (Ep 917). Notably, he was also listed as a key industry supporter for Rank 1's single "Lytherion," standing alongside legends like Andrew Rayel and Armin van Buuren.
Beyond the studio, Casepeat is a dynamic performer. In 2025, he played at EDC Korea, Mark Sherry's Outburst Records 10-Year Anniversary at Zerotokyo (Japan), and Amnesia Bangkok (Thailand), where he shared the stage with icons like Aly & Fila and Ferry Tayle. He also connects with fans globally by hosting his weekly live show, 'Play It Forward'.
With a background as the Film Music Director for award-winning movies 'God's Daughter Dances' and 'Peafowl', his signature sound combines cinematic orchestral elements with driving tech-trance energy, solidifying his status as Korea’s leading Trance ambassador.
