Fred DuVal is an entrepreneur, civic leader, advisor, and author. As the founder and President of DuVal and Associates, established in 2001, he provides expert guidance on government affairs and policy. His firm advises a diverse range of clients in healthcare, infrastructure, finance, and energy industries, helping them navigate the complexities of government relations at both the federal and state levels.
DuVal has been a prominent figure in public service, particularly in higher education. He currently serves his second term as a Regent for the Arizona Board of Regents, a position he has held since 2007. He was the first person in Arizona's history to be appointed to the Board by Democratic and Republican governors. His leadership has been instrumental in advancing initiatives to improve access to higher education and its affordability and accountability. Fred DuVal graduated with a B.A. from Occidental College and a J.D. from Arizona State University College of Law. He was born in New Jersey and raised in Tucson, Arizona. An avid outdoorsman, he has hiked the Grand Canyon in each of the last five decades. He is married to a former director at Mayo Clinic, and they have two sons. He continues to make a lasting impact on his community through his leadership and dedication to public service.
