Livvy's Birthday

Image
Yes, I know Livvy turned 4 in October. Yes it was 2 months ago, but I need to back track to important dates that I haven't blogged yet. This has been the year of the horse for Livvy. I have no idea where it came from, but Livvy has been obsessed with horses for about a year now. ANd she had to have a horse themed party as well. Thanks Grandma for the "Horsie Barn." It is much easier to care for horses when they ahve a place to sleep.

A Thumb Sucker!

Baby Grant is done with pacifiers. He has spent last couple of weeks trying out different fingers and even the whole hand, but he has now settled on the thumb. So cute!Image

Family Fun

This is a day trip we took to Musgrove's Mill. Musgrove's Mill is a Revoltionary War battle site. There are several battlefields in and around SC and you know how much Spence and I love history. I doubt the children will remember much of what we learned about the war, but I know that they will remember the fun we had (except for baby Grant who slept through most of the fun).

First Day of School

Image

Image

Image

Image Yes, the first midterms have already been issued and we are well into the new school year. But here it is - the first day of school pics. I was so excited for school to start, I thought my life would be so easy when the older kids were at school all day. It hasn't turned out that way. After being up all night with Grant getting up at 6am to get the kids off to school is harder than ever. And Livvy only goes to school until 11:30 on M/W/F. So she is home by herself most of the time and very bored with her playmates gone. This means I have become the playmate of choice and I have found I am getting even less done now that before. I guess it is never easy being a mom. It is a good thing I love it so much!

Amelia's 7th Birthday

Image
Image
Amelia is 7 years old. She is not a little girl any longer. Actually she struggles with this a lot more than Livvy. I thought Livvy would have a hard time being "big" now that she isn't the baby anymore. But Livvy is thrilled with her new status. Amelia wants to be the baby one minute and 30 the next. Amelia tries so hard to please others and works hard to be her best. She is a talented dancer and singer and very creative. She loves helping and is good at taking care of Baby Grant. She is also a great writer and reader. We are so glad she is in our family!

This is Amelia's "friend party." We had a fairy adventure where each girl had to earn her wings by passing a series of tests. They are singing in their best fairy voices. Did you know that is how fairies sing?

2 Months Old!

ImageImage
I am two months old today. Or at least I was when we took these pictures, but my Mom is a little slow with the whole blogging thing. Thanks for the new duds Aunt Shalayne--the ladies follow me everywhere when I wear them. Actually, they pretty much do that all of the time. I can't help it if I am adorable!

Elijah Grant

Don't you just love the sound of that name? Baby Grant is finally here and I am finally posting some pictures. He came out a little bruised and battered. I panicked when his face was so purple, I thought for sure he couldn't breathe and would never make it. It took a while for the nurse to convince me it was just bruising. He actually looks quite handsome and normal now. So we need a whole new slew of pictures. Maybe tomorrow... For now feast your eyes upon my 8 lb. 13 oz. 21 inch long giant of a baby.
