S.P. Miskowski is a recipient of two National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships, one for literature and one for drama.

Miskowski’s Bram Stoker Award®-nominated grunge noir novel I Wish I Was Like You was named This Is Horror Novel of the Year 2017 and received the coveted Charles Dexter (A)Ward bestowed by the readers of Strange Aeons.
Special editions of her novelette, Muscadines, have been published by Dunhams Manor Press (with illustrations by Dave Felton) and by Thunderstorm Books as part of Mary SanGiovanni’s Tempest line. A re-titled edition, Daughters of Catastrophe, with added material from the author and with cover art by Harry O. Morris is available from Grimscribe Press as of 2025.
Dim Shores published “Stag in Flight” as a chapbook illustrated by Nick Gucker in 2016, and “The Highest and the Sweetest” was published by Tall Hat Press with illustrations by Yves Tourigny.
A special signed omnibus edition of four books set in the strange fictional town of Skillute, Washington was published by Thunderstorm Books / Black Voltage in 2023. A paperback omnibus with a new novelette and story added is forthcoming from Broken Eye Books in 2026. Two more books set in Skillute, The Worst Is Yet to Come and The Best of Both Worlds, are available from JournalStone / Trepidatio as is the short fiction collection Strange Is the Night.
The psychological horror/ thriller/ crime novel If You Knew Me is published by Thomas & Mercer and is available via bookstores, libraries, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and most sites where books are sold. The audiobook version featuring Mia Hutchinson-Shaw and Coleen Marlo is not to be missed if you like dramatic tension and great narration.
