In this collection of videos, Trevor Hastie and Rob Tibshirani interview authors of seminal papers in the field of statistics. This project was part of Stanford's STATS 319 class held in Winter Quarter of 2024.

Stanford Statistics is proud to announce that our alum Weijie Su (PhD, 2016) has received the 2026 Presidents' Award from the Committee of Presidents of Statistical Societies.
Tijana will conclude her most recent appointment as Ram and Vijay Shriram Data Science Postdoctoral Fellow under the guidance of Emmanuel J. Candès and return from the winter holidays as our newest Assistant Professor of Statistics with a joint appointment in Management Science and Engineering (MS&E). She received her Ph.D.
Statistics is proud to announce this new recognition of our fantastic colleague, the highest academic award that Stanford bestows on a faculty member.
