The Moore You Know

Day to Day with the Moore Family

Anniversaries January 30, 2012

You can always tell when I’ve been busy in life and when I’ve been busy with good books.  Because there’s only so much time in a day and something’s got to give and the blog is one that gets sacrificed.  : )  But this has been a month that has completely flown by. I can hardly believe that it’s already over and we’re ready to start February.

On January 7th Lance and I celebrated 12 years together.  Go us!  We’ve survived over a decade and still love each other and choose to be together (almost!) everyday. : )  I kid, but I love Lance and can’t believe we’ve been having fun together for that long!

We also celebrated one year in our beautiful house. Lance, always looking for his next project has already started framing out the basement.  So even when you build a house there’s always something to work on.

It’s been a good but crazy busy month!

Dax is Five! January 6, 2012

Dax turned five on Monday. Honestly, it was a little anti-climatic for me because he’s been acting five for a couple of years now. : ) Five is one of the ages that’s a milestone because that means that the next year they’re going to be going to Kindergarten.  But he’s so over prepared for that…

He had a great day!  He LOVED all the attention.  He really took advantage of it.  I heard him multiple times say, “But it’s my birthday so I want to…” And he got away with it. He got to pick his breakfast, we went out to Red Robin for lunch with us and grandma and grandpa, I made him an ice cream sandwich cake, he got presents, got to play with his cousins.  It was a fantastic day.

Dax is a really funny kid. He truly keeps us laughing all the time. He picks up on lots of phrases so Lance and I are all the time looking at each other grinning, not believing what he’s just said. He wants to be as good at everything as his brothers. So when they are at school he practices the games they play so that he can keep up with them. He especially loves Chiler and really looks up to him. He’s my little sweetheart and is always ready to give me a big hug.  (He’s not too big for that yet.) We just love having him in our family soooo much.
