Park

Kaden had a really fun time digging at the park the other day. I felt bad because I didn't have a decent shovel but just an empty water bottle. So I bought him a bucket and shovel from Walmart for the next time we end up going.

Image I feel so bad for Kade because we haven't been out playing much. I haven't been feeling good the last couple weeks for some unknown reason and poor Kaden is getting the brunt end of it. But the other day we went out and had a good time.

So at the park there were these teenage girls. Not like 17-yr-olds but I think they were like 13-14. I couldn't believe what they were wearing. I saw so much butt crack that I had to close my mouth to keep from vomiting. But like seeing a little plumber is fine I guess, because it happens to the best of us (including me). No...these girls were showing butt CLEAVAGE. There pants were so tight it was pushing there cheeks together and causing actual cleavage. And I won't even get started with the tiny shirts that weren't even covering their muffin tops. Gross! No wonder Kaden didn't want to slide and all he did was dig because these girls were totally hogging the slide. Good boy Kaden for not wanting to associate with nasties!

Summer

It's finally Summer and Kaden and I are living it up. I am working on my tan (my back and shoulders happen to be a nice red color) and Kaden has learned it's not fun to swim in ice water. I filled up our swimming pool and I had lots of fun in it yesterday. Kaden climbed in by himself and got his head wet with icy hose water. He was done swimming after that even after all the buckets of hot water I brought from inside to put in the pool. My summer afternoon went something like this...I am lounging in the pool working on my burn (I mean tan) and Kaden is sobbing because I wouldn't let him get out of the pool. It was very relaxing.

Image After playing hard in the sun, Kaden gets pooped. He falls asleep so fast in the car. Usually he puts both arms behind his head in the car seat when he sleeps. I love how rosy his cheeks are and his pouty lips.

Father's Day was really fun. I got Ty a subscription to National Geographic. He was looking through our emails and he found an old one that said thanks for subscribing. He asked me about it and I was like ummm...Happy Father's Day. Nice it was like 2 weeks early. Oh well. He loved it anyway. We went up to Ty's parents for dinner. We all pitched in and got Bud a grill for Father's Day. So for dinner we had burgers. It was so nice to be outside in the sunshine. For my dad, we got a bag of Riesen's (one of his favorites) and a surprise note. It felt like a really good Father's Day this year. Thanks to all my Father figures in my life for the support and help you have provided me and my family.

Getting Dressed

Silly Boy! Kaden loves to take off his pants and run around in his diaper. Yesterday I was like, "Kaden, put your pants back on. Daddy's coming home soon!" And this is what I found. I guess he knew that the straps go on his shoulders, but he forgot to put his legs through first. He wandered around the house laughing/crying carrying his overalls like a shoulder bag. Very Cute!!

Look at those chubby legs! What a funny kid! He makes me smile everyday. When he is done with his drink he comes up to you and says "Wan-mo" (translation: want more) Very nice!

Book Review

Image Stephenie Meyer is a genius. She is witty and fun. But once again she created a self-sacrificing, power female in her lead role. Just like Bella who tries to recreate the "third wife" in "Eclipse" by stabbing her arm to save her beloved Edward, Wanderer and Melanie jump in front of (can't remember his name) who is trying to hurt their Jared without even thinking. Some think the book is slow and it takes a long time to get to the point, but I found it exciting and page turning. I couldn't help thinking to myself after every chapter ended, "Is the seeker going to find Wanderer?" or "what will happen if the humans get caught on one of their raids?" or "what if Melanie disappears for good?" or better yet "How long will Stephenie Meyer let Melanie's body keep making out with Jared and Ian?" I just couldn't put this book down. I am glad it ended the way it did and I absolutely loved the hopefulness about it. Like when Wanderer saw the two souls loving a human baby at the park. Very cool! Definitely a MUST READ!

Warm Sunny Days!

We played at the park like 2 weeks ago and Kaden had a blast. It makes me laugh when I go through my pictures because you can totally tell I'm the camera woman. All the pictures are of Kaden and some of Ty, but none of myself. Ohh well... it really is all about the babies anyway.

Image Kade loves to climb and he felt right at home at the park. I could tell he was idolizing the older kids with the look he was giving them, and trying to do what they would do. Like one big kid would run and climb up the slide. Kaden tried and tried but never could get enough momentum to get even half way up. But he is growing more and more everyday. He is talking a little more and can now point to his teeth, ears, toes and eyes on command. A big improvement in the last month.

Sorry it has been awhile since I've posted. Our modem is still being fickle and works only 25% of the time. Ty and I are so busy lately that we haven't had the chance to fix it or get a new one.

There is a new clip on the movie Twilight on Stephenie Meyer's web page for all those fans out there. Awesome and amazing...I am still so excited! http://www.mtv.com/overdrive/?vid=237340 . Enjoy!
