Jake has been accepted to BYU-Idaho. We are waiting to find out if he will start in January or April. I am hoping for January so we can get this thing on the roll.
We are busy packing and cleaning. Trying to get rid of as much stuff as we can. Trying to figure out why we have moved so much junk through 3 states and 7 apartments.
The boys are growing so quickly. It seems everyday they do something else that reminds me how much they are changing.
Xander is still crawling around. He walks all over holding on to us or things. Occasionally he'll let go and stands for a few seconds before plopping down.
They are growing so fast. I am excited to live with our parents for a bit so the boys can get to know them.

Here We Go
There hasn't been much to write about. That, or pictures.
We have kept ourselves busy though. We are officially moving in three weeks. I am headed to Utah with the boys. We will stay with family. Jake will join us the end of November. He has applied for school at BYU-Idaho. No word yet on actually being accepted. We are hopeful though. The plan is to stay in UT until BYU starts in April (they have weird timing on their semesters).
This means we have been starting the fun process of packing...gag.
It has been too hot to go outside, it gives me something to do during the day. Or makes me feel guilty that empty boxes are looming over me while I dink around on the computer.
We all have cabin fever.
Kaleb has been doing a lot of this...We are working on one of the hardest lessons...sharing.
Kaleb was shoveling grapes into Xander's mouth. Poor little brother. It won't be long before you are the one picking on Kaleb. But, at least he was sharing. Or help his brother gag to death? Not sure actually. We try to make it outside at least for an hour at night. There usually isn't any relief until around 7:30pm or later - ugh. We have no grass at this apartment complex. We have to go to the park. Quite often we just make it to the parking lot. Crawling baby and asphalt, what a fun combo!
Thus is our life right now. I am excited for this next journey in our lives. I am sad to leave California. Not the actual state, just some amazing friends. I will for sure miss taking Kaleb to the beach. It is his favorite place. I hope we can find a local pool wherever we end up. I want these boys to continue their love of water and swimming.
Thank you to all our friends. We are so grateful for all you've done for us.
Here we go...

Family Outing
Yesterday we went for a little Sunday drive. We decided to head downtown.
Los Angeles is an armpit of a city. Occasionally you can find some gems. One of those would be a new discovery, Vista Hermosa Park. 10 1/2 acres of walking trails, native plants, grass, etc. It's open to the public. Sadly, because of state budget and cutbacks only two people maintain this beautiful place. I don't think it's very well known because there was only a handful of people there.
We discovered it through a service project. One of the young men in our ward invited everyone to help with his Eagle Scout project. I'm not sure everything that was done but Jake went and helped lay down sod and mulch in the flower beds.
We went for a walk up to a children discovery play area.
The first thing Kaleb did was find rocks to throw, or drop down the drains. Hitting himself on the head worked just as well.
I know we'll be back soon. There were picnic tables and lots of grass. We'll have to bring a lunch next time.
