No one warned me when my first three children were diagnosed with autism and static encephalopathy that they would eventually eat their own poop, or that your own e-coli will not hurt you, or that they like to run around naked after puberty, or that they develope a strength so freakishly strong that I check their skin to see if it is actually turning green and their clothes are somehow ripping off their body. No one told me that when I had “normal” developing children that they talk back and are certain they know everything at age 7 and 4. No one told me that it would be the greatest, hardest, saddest, funniest adventure that I have ever been on. Now I am teling you.
Hi! I am Tiny’s wife (Denise) & I wanted to let you know that he turned me on to your blog a few months ago. I have met you a total of one time–before we were married. I’ve been reading your posts & I find them absolutely adorable, funny & refreshingly honest. I am so glad I found your blog! You are one of the reasons that got me started thinking about having a family of my own. It is nice to know that as we (Tiny & I) try to start our own adventure that there is someone out there who can tell it like it is & how it’s going to be. You are truly inspiring & amazing. Thank You!

denise, that is the hugest, bestest, amazingest compliment anyone could give me. thank you. and the whole motherhood thing is the most remarkable ride you can take, you will get bugs in your teeth , travel through beautiful scenery that takes your breath away and then you will hit snowstorms, tornados, and have to take yourself in for a few tune-ups and even a car wreck once in awhile, but i am serious when i say it is worth it.
best of luck to you.
