Spring Time Fun

RACE FOR THE CURE

Image

Ashlee and her friends, Stephanie and Kelli, ran the 5K "Race for the Cure" a couple weeks back. They did great they ran the 5K (3.3 Miles I think) in around 25 minutes. Ashlee said that Kelli and Stephanie were all but dragging her to keep up, but she said they had fun. She called me when it was over and said those &%#@ (Rymes with witches) ran circles around me, jokingly of course, but it motivated her to work out harder so she has been getting after it in the gym. After the race Ash found her sister Andra, who ran it with her whole family, and all of them grabbed all of the free loot set out by the vendors. Ashlee is a SUCKER for free stuff.

LOSING SOME TEETH

Image

Poor Riggin's teeth are coming out at an alarming rate. Some on their own and some by the dentist. We have had to recommit to brushing our teeth more than once a month. Thank goodness our Dentist is our friend or we would get turned in to child services for neglect. Anyway the tooth fairy has taken good care of him, except one night she forgot to take the tooth. She must be a new tooth fairy. Or he, whatever. He got his money and that is all that counts.

MOTHER'S DAY

Image

Mother' Day was a great day. I tried to give Ash the day off as best I could. I let her sleep in while me and the kids cooked French Toast and Bacon for her. I then bathed, ironed their clothes, and dressed all the kids for church so she just had to worry about herself. Gave her some new duds from FOREVER 21, and let her have a nap after church before we went to the Walkers(Ashlee's Mom and Dad) for Dinner. We spent the evening at the Walkers and the rest of the family and had a great night. Later that night she got the best gift ever, but this is a family blog so I can't go into details, but it was good, TRUST me. In all seriousness, Ash is the best little mommy, I know above all else her family is first and that's all I could ever ask for. Love ya babe.

WALKER'S "GIRLS NIGHT OUT"

Image

A new Mother's Day tradition for the Walker Girls is that to celebrate with each other they do a Girl's Night Out. They all met at the Cheese Cake Factory for diner and then went shopping at the mall and then they stayed the night at the Walkers and woke up and went Garage Selling in the morning. Ash had a blast and loves her family very much.

LADY BUG FESTIVAL

Image

Our subdivision has this community garden and to start its commencement they had this Lady Bug Festival. They had it at our community barn and had a live band, face painters, a bake sale, and some other fun stuff for the kids. The kids were supposed to come dressed as lady bugs because they were releasing a ton of lady bugs into the garden to help it or something I didn't quite understand, but we released a lot of lady bugs none the less. Any excuse for a party I guess.

CAMP OUT

Image

After the Lady Bug Festival and my niece's birthday party I had promised the boys a camp out in our back yard. We set up the tent, cooked hot dogs and smores and told scary stories around the fire. We had the Dudleys over and their kids, actually Josh was with us all day, and then Alexa (Ashlee's little sister) came over later with some friends from college for a slumber party. It was really fun and I am pretty sure I wrecked the Dudley kids with the scary story I told. Two of them were covering their ears before the story was over. Tommy thinks she is one of the big kids and I have to tell ya...being a dad is the freak'n BEST.

State Runner-Up!

Michael Phelps WHAT? That's Riggin Stone!

Well its all over. Riggin Locked up a 2nd Place finish at State to cap off the season. We are so proud of him. He made a lot of improvements from last year and finshed 1st or 2nd at all of the tournaments this year with the exception of one 3rd place finish when he had to wrestle in an upper weight class. He is so fun to coach and if anything he is almost too coachable. He keeps looking over at me for the next move when he should be watching his opponent. It was fun to watch his smirk as he came over to me in the corner between rounds when he knew he just tech falled his opponent to end the round. I never knew it could be this good. And next year I will have two little tigers on the mat. Look out for the STONE BOYS.

This is Riggin after I told him that wrestling isn't an optin for the Stone Boys. It is just something we do like Church, Work, and School. You think I am kidding, but I am not.

The Stone Crew. Thanks to Momma Bug, Papa, Brandon, Shosted's, and the Hall's for supporting us. It means a lot.

Circus

Image

After the wrestling tournament TW and Bug took us to Riggin's favorite restaurant (China One Buffet)to eat lunch and told us to get rested up for the Circus they were taking all the grandkids to that night. Ashlee couldn't make the Circus cause she was supporting our friend Kelli who was competing in a Fitness Competition (Which she WON)that night. So here is the rat pack in the back seat as we headed out.

The Circus was a blast! All the grandkids got to ride an Elephant! How many people can say that?

We had a great time, but Riggin gave out at the intermission. Good thing he had Papa to crash out on. Tommy crashed out on me, but Wylie, my little Rock Star, made it throught the whole thing and even the ride home. When we got home we found Mom was having a party of her own and played with his friend Maddox until midnight. He is my son! We can't miss a party. We might be in trouble with that one.
