MMA Christmas

Photobucket

All the boys wanted from Santa were MMA gloves and fighting shorts. It was a close call for Wylie this year, but it looks like they were on the "nice" list. We had make special phone call to one of Santa's elves (Leroy) to see if Wylie was on the "naughty" or "nice" list because he was having a hard time listening to his mom. Leroy said Wylie was barely on the "nice" list but was hanging on by a thread. So Wylie somehow kept it together to save Christmas for himself. Now I am just back to threatening to put him in the crawl space for "time-outs"

I have a lot more pictures to post, but life is a little crazy right now. I will catch up once the dust settles.

Champions Again

blog

My little guys competed in a Folk Style Tournament last Saturday. Wylie took 2nd only losing one match, but pinned both of his other two matches. Riggin took 1st and beat a kid who beat him twice last year in the finals. Pretty proud papa!

We went to Utah to be apart of Maylie's(Season's Daughter) Blessing a couple of weeks ago. Here are all the cousins who attended.

Regardless of their differences during the day they seem to find each other at night. I love it!

Happy Halloween

Blog 2

Another Halloween is in the books. It was an awesome night. Kids had a blast with friends and cousins and we even let the boys go out without Ashlee and I tagging along, or any adult for that matter with their friends. In truth, we tried going with all of them, but when Ashlee was trying to take the ten pound chain off of Riggin so he could keep up with the older kids he said in disgust "MOM!... quit... driving me around." Hard moment for Ashlee. She fell from grace on Halloween Night when Riggin was only 7 yrs. old. She looked over at me, wide eyed and mouth open, and I thought I actually heard her heart break. We decided to give them their wings after a few more houses to make sure they would be OK and took Tommy and Boxer back to the house. In truth, Riggin did ask Ashlee about 5 minutes later to take the chain off, but only when the older kids weren't looking. See babe...your boy still needs you after all.

Boxer's Blessing

Photobucket

Our little handsome guy had a ton of family support for his special day. Thank you so much to all the family who traveled to be there to validate little Boxer, it means a lot to Ashlee and I. I can't tell you how much we love Boxer. He has such a sweet disposition and he will almost smile on demand. I have been in awe of how whenever we add another child to our brood it has always made our family feel more complete, never foreign. Boxer was meant to be our son and the kid's little brother. I am excited to see what he has to offer this world.

Stranger In My Bed

I left my room as Tommy was hiding on my pillows...she thought she was playing hide & go seek with Ashlee, but when I came up stairs...this is what I found in my bed. I guess Ashlee took too long trying to find her so she decided to take a nap. She is such a DIVA!

Honey... Happy Birthday! You really are incredible! I love you, our kids adore you, and many look up to you. Yes... all you funny jacks out there, I said 'look up'! You have always been able to look at the issue at hand from all perspectives. You amaze me with the careful advice you give me & others. Thank you for your patience, your support, & your love. You have a great passion for life & no matter what you think... nothing is sweeter than watching you get choked up over the things that are most important to you. i.e. being a Dad and coaching;) It might not be macho... but it's DANG SEXY. Happy Birthday Babe! I love you more than you'll ever know. O.F.E.

Portland

blog

At the end of August while Lynnett was staying with us we went over to see Brandon and Emily at their new place in the Camas/Portland area and spent a few days. It was really cool and we had a great time. Even Grandma Anna Lee and Micci came down from Seattle to see us...Something about me being their favorite or something like that, but it was great to see them and spend time with the Rehrers, we have missed them. Thanks guys for taking such good care of us.

blog

All the neighborhood kids made themselves right at home during our family BBQ. They freaked out a little bit when we all dropped to our knees and started chanting when we offered a blessing on the food..No not really. Nobody freaked out.

Blog

You wouldn't know it, but those are the eyes of a predator, gleaming after indulgence. We were all introduced to Portlands VOODOO Doughnuts, but none were so smitten as Tommy girl. The best doughnut was the maple bar with two strips of bacon on top. I know, I know...Genius.

While Lynnett and Brandon waited in line for our doughnuts we walked through the "Saturday Market" and found this fountain area by the Cloumbia River where the kids stripped down and ran and played. It was a really cool little area, it even had a big sand baox for the kids to play. We were entertained by tons of street performers and mimes. I will forever be haunted by the girl with the blond dreadlocks and her magical hula hoop. (sorry babe, even you thought she was sexy)

blog

Yep, Tommy's dates will have these two to mess with if they don't walk the line. Trained killers bro, watch your step.

MULTNOMAH FALLS

Photobucket

On our way home the Rehrers followed us to Multnomah Falls. It was a great way to end the trip and let the kids get their wiggles out before the long trek home. Of course it would not be us if our kids didn't end up in their underwear in public so of course we did.

Just Life

Here are some pictures of some "everyday" stuff, nothing fancy.

Sunday School Otter Pops

Blog Size

The primary presidency gave out Otter Pops after church as a reward to the kids for being good. Church got a little bit cooler that day.

BIG RIGGS!

Photobucket

Riggin and I went solo to his last football game. Kind of a fun day for a dad. Riggin played defense (Middle Linebacker) and had two, unassisted, flag pulls that saved two touchdowns. What as stud!

Wylie Bear

Photobucket

The kids ride on my back all the time, which is the only safe seat in the house(Ashlee gets so mad when she gets attacked), but Wylie decided he was ready to take over and Tommy was ready for a ride.

Catching Up!

Hair Cuts

Photobucket

So long Justin Bieber and hello Chuck Liddell. It is county fair season and we wanted the boys to fit in.

Tommy, on the other hand, was just victim of circumstance. Ashlee wanted to just trim her back a little and ended up with a BOB. Still cute though.

Flag Football

Photobucket

Big Riggs is finally able to play Flag Football this year. I have taken the role as Offensive Coordinator/Assistant Coach and am thoroughly enjoying it. This is the kind of stuff ya dream about when you first hear you are having a boy. Riggin is really quick and aggressive and one of the smartest players on the team. Life is good.
